A elevação do nível médio do mar e a tendência de mais ocorrências de inundações costeiras no mundo são preocupações da comunidade internacional. A compreensão dos perigos, exposição e riscos nas cidades costeiras são importantes para planejar e traçar políticas de adaptação. O objetivo deste artigo foi o de modelar a inundação costeira com tendências à elevação do nível do mar em áreas baixas e planas sob inluência de marés que oferecem riscos ao ambiente urbano, por meio de Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) e Geodésia de precisão de baixo custo, adotando como estudo de caso a cidade de Areia Branca no estado do Rio Grande do Norte (Nordeste do Brasil). A modelagem da inundação foi realizada em Modelo Digital de Superfície com precisão vertical de 5,2 cm gerado a partir de técnicas de fotogrametria digital, e vinculado ao Sistema Geodésico Brasileiro a partir de dados de Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). A cota de inundação foi convertida com base no Nível de Redução da Marinha e ajustada a uma Referência de Nível do IBGE. A análise dos riscos da inundação costeira na cidade de Areia Branca/RN revelou uma profundidade de lâmina d'água de 50 cm que atingem áreas públicas e privadas, sendo agravada pela própria condição de vulnerabilidade da maior parte da população e ocupação de espaços afetados pelas mais elevadas marés de sizígia.
