Neste artigo trazemos algumas reflexões sobre as estratégias metodológicas utilizadas em uma pesquisa sobre o uso da jurema em rituais neoxamânicos no contexto urbano, durante a pandemia da Covid-19. De modo especial, o diálogo permanente estabelecido com um xamã, que veio a ser um interlocutor-chave durante todo o período da pesquisa, foi fundamental para compreender práticas e sentidos associados ao uso da jurema em rituais neoxamânicos na cidade. Considerando que processos diversificados de colaboração nas etnografias sempre fizeram parte, em alguma medida, da história da antropologia, acredita-se que foi possível garantir algum nível de descentramento e revelar aspectos importantes a respeito do campo que, de outra maneira, talvez não seriam possíveis

<p><span>A teoria de gênero nos permite compreender e analisar a atuação das mulheres no campo da luta política. De acordo com teóricas feministas, tais como Joan Scott (1989), Henrieta Moore (1997) e Marilyn Strathern (2006), gênero constitui-se como princípio organizador da vida social, atribuindo papeis, espaços, lugares e posições para as pessoas, para os objetos e para a natureza. É por meio do gênero que nossos sentimentos de ser homem e ser mulher ganham valor moral que orientam nossa ação com as outras pessoas, com os objetos, com o espaço e com o ambiente. Por isso as ideias do que vem a ser homens e mulheres reais variam, consoante sistemas de valores de gênero em contextos específicos, devendo ser culturalmente situadas.</span></p>
