CASE REPORTThe patient, a 21-year-old college student, presented to the emergency room after sustaining a kick to the groin during an assault a few hours earlier. He was in mild distress, and complained of right scrotal pain and swelling. An ultrasound examination demonstrated disruption of the tunica albuginea with extrusion of portions of the disrupted testis and areas of hemorrhage (Figures 1-3). The patient was taken to the operating room for emergency right scrotal exploration.
