RESUMO O objetivo deste trabalho é discutir os resultados do primeiro Fórum Municipal de Humanização, usado como estratégia de educação permanente para trabalhadores da Atenção Básica. Os trabalhadores foram divididos em grupos para discussão de uma situação-problema e para, assim, buscar estratégias para efetivação da Política Nacional de Humanização. Participaram 71 profissionais de saúde, além de residentes e acadêmicos. Concluiu-se que o Fórum mostrou-se importante instrumento de educação permanente, instigando os profissionais a participar ativamente das discussões, com o intuito de construir e reconstruir processos de trabalho para desenvolver atenção integral aos usuários.PALAVRAS-CHAVE Humanização da assistência. A economia chilena pode ser considerada um caso peculiar na América Latina, pois em pouco mais de 20 anos, o Chile cresceu 209%, com expressivo equilíbrio macroeconômico e atração de IED. Esse estudo tem por objetivo identificar como o crescimento econômico apresentado nos últimos anos afetou a distribuição intra-regional e o nível de pobreza da economia chilena, a partir do cálculo do índice de Gini e dos indicadores de pobreza e indigência. Conclui-se que em termos relativos a distribuição de renda, em nível nacional, permaneceu nos mesmos patamares, e em nível regional, verificou-se melhoras em algumas regiões, em especial naquelas que apresentaram intenso crescimento, impulsionado pelas exportações. Em relação à incidência da pobreza, constatou-se que em nível nacional, assim como em nível regional houve uma redução aproximada de 2/3 nos últimos 13 anos.
