Resumo: A utilização do controle interno nas empresas tem, entre seus objetivos, salvaguardar os ativos da empresa e sua utilização pode ajudar no desenvolvimento das mesmas. Dessa forma, o presente estudo objetivou evidenciar os procedimentos do controle interno da empresa familiar, em relação ao modelo COSO II, e demonstrar os pontos de aderências e/ou divergências do controle interno da entidade. A pesquisa se caracterizou como descritiva e quali-quantitativa. Em relação aos métodos, foram utilizadas fontes bibliográficas, através da consulta em materiais relacionados ao estudo, e classificado como estudo de caso por ter sido realizado dentro de uma empresa com a participação de todos os setores envolvidos no processo. A coleta de dados foi realizada através de questionário, com perguntas objetivas aplicadas aos donos e funcionários da empresa em estudo. As informações coletadas foram tratadas e trabalhadas a fim de se chegar à resposta da questão: Como são utilizados os procedimentos operacionais do controle interno na empresa familiar em relação ao modelo COSO II? A partir das análises dos dados, conclui-se que os procedimentos operacionais do controle interno da empresa, em relação ao modelo COSO II, estão aderentes em 89,37% dos procedimentos. Entretanto, alguns procedimentos não estão de acordo com o modelo, apresentando a necessidade de melhorias e atualizações, visto que, na prática, o controle interno em pleno funcionamento ajuda aos gestores na tomada de decisões da organização.
