Este texto é fruto de uma pesquisa que abordou a semiótica do texto multicultural nas aulas de leitura do Ensino Médio-EJA, cuja compreensão de texto ocorre como produto e materialidade de linguagem multimodal. Esse entendimento acontece no campo da linguagem simbólica, onde a imaginação emerge como fenômeno psíquico essencial ao desenvolvimento contínuo do ser, por meio da leitura. Nesse contexto, frente a problemática de um mundo contemporâneo que valoriza o pensamento objetivo em detrimento ao pensamento subjetivo, imaginativo, o estudo objetiva defender a imaginação como função da mente humana, potencializadora do ato de leitura, para além do verbal, meio de produção da significação simbólica. Assim, dar-se a escolha por textos, linguagens, mediadores da aula de leitura, refletindo a realidade dos sujeitos de uma turma do Ensino Médio-EJA; por acreditar-se que o processo de ensino aprendizagem deve partir de algum ponto de identificação do aprendiz, em busca do lugar desejado. O estudo ancora-se na psicologia analítica e nos estudos antropológicos do imaginário, no cerne de uma Linguística Antropológica (RODRIGUES, 2011). Constatou-se que o mundo subjetivo dos educandos é um caminho fértil para a escolha de linguagens, como mediadoras das aulas de leitura, visto que potencializaram experiências de vida com alta carga valorativa, permitiram a reflexão, aprimoramento e promoção do desenvolvimento individual e de grupo.
Diante da expressividade da literatura afro-brasileira como cultura das bordas e seu funcionamento como símbolo de denúncia, escritoras como Conceição Evaristo refletem, em suas escritas, a voz da mulher negra e o combate às injustiças sociais, revelando um lugar de resistência à diáspora africana e uma perspectiva literária de autoria. Sob esta ótica, considera-se a problemática do racismo e a necessidade de construção de uma igualdade étnica. O artigo se baseia na multimodalidade da linguagem e na semiótica das culturas para propor a leitura literária de dois poemas da referida escritora, cuja voz performática, semiotizada, faz emergir na materialidade textual o simbólico da linguagem, cujos sentidos suscitam o imaginário humano, permitindo, ao leitor, a reconstrução da diáspora africana e a percepção do lugar de autoria da mulher negra comprometida com a trajetória do seu povo. Destaca-se a importância de discutir as relações étnico-raciais – Lei 10.639 – que tornam obrigatório o ensino da História e da Cultura Afro-Brasileira nas redes de ensino brasileiras, em especial, na educação pública, com características socioeconômicas de exclusão, necessitando de abordagens que possibilitem romper com o paradigma do racismo cristalizado socialmente em prol do desenvolvimento do pensamento crítico e do reconhecimento de movimentos de redemocratização de políticas públicas socioeducacionais.
A ideia de cultura como lugar de estabilização e normatização é desconstruída por Bauman (2012). À cultura cabe o acolhimento da mudança resultante do embate de forças que ora tentam preservar ora flexibilizar. Este movimento aponta para o que Bhabha (1998) nomeou de um lugar fronteiriço, onde tudo acontece. Este contexto referencia o mundo global, com fronteiras porosas, e sua heterogeneidade cultural. Assim, o artigo objetiva evidenciar, a partir dos estudos linguísticos, semântico-culturais de Ferrarezi Jr. (2013), como a Amazônia, Floresta Tropical, apresenta-se, por meio de uma dimensão linguística e extralinguística, como elemento de tensão entre a cultura local e a cultura global. Para tanto, investe numa análise semântico-cultural de dois textos publicitários que expõem uma concepção de cultura e globalização ao modo de Bauman (2012) e Santos (1998), demonstrando a Amazônia, enquanto elemento polarizado pelo embate de forças locais e globais, que eleva ao centro da discussão a Soberania do Povo Brasileiro e a fragilização de Direitos Humanos da diversidade de povos e culturas locais.
