Understanding that the measurement of HRM construct in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) context is relatively critical, this study aims to assess the validity and reliability of HRM measurement based on the SME owner-managers' perspective in the Malaysian context. Following a data collection from 95 SME owner-managers, a confirmatory factor analysis was performed to investigate the factorial validity and reliability of the HRM measurement. The finding indicates that the measurement model was acceptable in consideration of the evidences of adequate reliability, convergent validity and discriminant validity. This study will be beneficial for future researchers, entrepreneurs and policy makers in better understanding to the value of HRM practices towards boosting the SMEs performance.
The studies on library user satisfaction have become a topic of recent debate. the aimed of this paper is to analyze the effects of library collection, e-resources, and librarian service quality towards student satisfaction in the sultanah bahiyah library of uum. a sample of 80 were employees based on probability sampling technique adopted. the data were obtained from the respondents using a questionnaire.the study used ibm spss statistics 24 application software foranalysis, descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing results using. the results and findings shown that the library collection, e-resources, and librarian service quality are significantly related to the student satisfaction in the sulthanah bahiyah library of uum. therefore, the result of this study found that the best services, physically and technically, provided by the sultanah bahiyah libraryhas been satisfying the customers, which are students of universiti utara malaysia generally, and especially the students who visit the library. hence, this paper recommended that sulthanah bahiyah library uum to improve their performance in order to meet the visitor's satisfaction, especially in the area of quality of librarian services.the future researchers employ other factors besides of library collection, e-resources, and librarian service quality towards the student satisfaction.
This paper attempts to examine the relationship between the Government business support services, personality factors and entrepreneurship empowerment among undergraduate students in Malaysian public universities. Out of 400 questionnaires distributed, a total of 241 undergraduate students participated in the study and Pearson correlation analysis technique was employed to analyze the data. The results indicated Government business support services and personality factors have a moderate significant relationship with entrepreneurship empowerment. The findings supported the arguments raised that both variables have an impact on the undergraduate students' entrepreneurship empowerment program. Finally, some research implications and future research suggestion were also discussed in this paper.
AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk mengemukakan kerangka penyelidikan tentang hubungan antara perkhidmatan sokongan kerajaan dan pemerkasaan keusahawanan serta ciri-ciri peribadi sebagai penyederhana dalam hubungan antara kedua-dua pemboleh ubah tersebut dalam kalangan pelajar universiti awam. Umumnya, cabaran utama bagi para graduan apabila menamatkan pengajian ialah untuk mendapat pekerjaan yang bersesuaian dengan bidang pengajian mereka. Malah, kadar pengangguran dalam kalangan siswazah masa kini turut membimbangkan. Sebagai tindakan alternatif, pihak kerajaan amat menggalakkan supaya para pelajar diberi pendedahan tentang ciri-ciri keusahawanan semasa mereka masih mengikuti pengajian lagi. Pemerkasaan merujuk kepada sikap proaktif untuk berjaya dalam bidang ini. Selain daripada itu, perkhidmatan sokongan kerajaan amat diperlukan oleh semua usahawan dan PKS termasuk juga para pelajar yang menceburi bidang ini. Dapatan penyelidikan terdahulu membuktikan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pemboleh ubah-pemboleh ubah. Hasil penyelidikan ini dijangka dapat memberi sumbangan dalam usaha menanam minat supaya lebih ramai para graduan memilih keusahawanan sebagai pilihan kerjaya serta membantu mereka berjaya dalam bidang ini.
