Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar e compreender as descrições de mulheres, traçando um percurso aparentemente cronológico, a partir de personagens presentes em cinco contos de Clarice Lispector, sendo eles: Felicidade Clandestina, Preciosidade, Águas do mundo, Amor e Feliz Aniversário, a fim de entender as trajetórias femininas narradas e os papeis destinados às mulheres do século XX. Para isso, adotamos como metodologia a revisão da literatura especializada em história das mulheres e, de fortuna crítica, trabalhos e autores que têm como elementos centrais as obras de Clarice Lispector. Fundamentamos, então, o nosso estudo em Benjamin Moser (2016), Antônio Cândido (1970) e Michelle Perrot (2019), com a finalidade de compreendermos as características presentes na escrita de Lispector, bem como analisar de que forma ela transpõe as vivências das mulheres em seus textos.
