A violência sexual contra adolescentes pode ser considerada pelo acontecimento de qualquer tipo de atividade sexual, seja ela oral, anal, vaginal com alguém que esteja num estágio psicossexual mais avançado, possibilitando a essa pessoa certa gratificação, geralmente esses tipos de práticas sexuais são impostas à criança/adolescente, pela força, violência física e emocional, ou pela indução da sua vontade, no qual pode ocorrer de diversas formas sendo no contato físico com ou sem penetração ou exibição de teores eróticos/pornográficos. Objetivo: Descrever e comparar conceitos de violência sexual contra crianças e adolescentes. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática, desenvolvida com artigos originais, publicados no período de 2000 a 2014. A escolha deste recorte temporal se deve aos inúmeros relatos de casos de violência sexual entre crianças e adolescentes. As bases eletrônicas consultadas foram: BVS, DeCS, MEDLINE, Lilacs, Scielo. Resultados: Compreende-se que a palavra violência já é autoexplicativa, no entanto, observou-se que esta palavra pode ser definida de várias formas, dessa maneira finaliza-se que a definição depende do ponto vista de cada individuo, mas sempre apresentando características distintas. Conclusão: O conceito de violência leiga na linguagem parece mais difícil de definir e entender do que se pode imaginar, porém, na linguagem técnica há várias definições que possa melhor ajudar no entendimento. Desse modo, concluímos que nos artigos estudados e revistos, os autores apresentam a mesma linha de raciocínio com sinônimos, porém alguns definem de forma mais complexas o real conceito de violência sexual entre crianças e adolescentes.
