ABSTRACT. Checklist of Sarcophagidae (Insecta, Diptera) from Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil. Sarcophagidae (Insecta, Diptera) is the second largest family of calyptrate fl ies of the superfamily Oestroidea in species richness. Their females are larviparous and larvae have diverse habits, especially saprophagous/necrophagous. An updated list with 26 species of fl esh fl ies recorded in the literature from the State of Mato Grosso do Sul is provided. Distribution recorded by municipality and their references are also given.KEYWORDS. Flesh fl y, biodiversity, distribution, Midwest, Biota-MS Program.RESUMO.
