Complexes of transition metals with acetoacetanilide thiosemicarbazone, AatH2, have been prepared and characterized. The complexes were found to have the following stoichiometries: [Mn(Aat)(H20)2],; [Zn(Aat)(H20)2]; [M(Aat)(H20)], where M = Cd" or Hgn; [Cu(Aat)]n; [Ag(AatH)]; [M(AatH)2], where M = Co II or Ni 1I, and [Fe(Aat)CI(H20)],. The compounds have been studied for their possible antitumour activity against Ehrlich Ascites tumour cells in vitro.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
