A presente pesquisa trabalhará a utilização dos resíduos sólidos na pavimentação rodoviária, considerando que novas metodologias vêm sendo traçadas para oferecer maior eficácia a este processo, e todos os benefícios econômicos e ecológicos provindos do reaproveitamento destes materiais em tais processos. De forma qualitativa fundamentada bibliograficamente, visa responder a seguinte problemática: Como ocorre o reaproveitamento de resíduos na pavimentação rodoviária? Este trabalho tem como objetivo estudar o estado do processo que utiliza resíduos em pavimentação rodoviária, dando enfoque aos métodos utilizados em cada tipo de resíduo, desempenho e suas principais características. Justifica-se o estudo da utilização de resíduos na pavimentação rodoviária tendo em vista a necessidade crescente de utilizar melhor os recursos disponíveis. Portanto, ao se pesquisar esse tema, além de avançar no fator ambiental, pode-se desenvolver a questão econômica, que muitas vezes é um dos aspectos motivacionais muito mais apreciados pelos empresários do ramo da construção.
A Lei 12.305, de 02 de agosto de 2010 que instituiu a Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos estabeleceu novas diretrizes aos municípios brasileiros quanto à destinação final adequada destes materiais, no entanto, os gestores municipais veem enfrentando grandes dificuldades para o atendimento à Lei, pois a mesma é ampla, complexa, com vários fatores envolvidos, requerendo o empenho de altos valores para implantação e operação. Partindo deste contexto, o objetivo deste artigo foi analisar a aplicação das políticas públicas implantadas pelo Governo Municipal para o atendimento da Política Nacional de resíduos Sólidos no Município de Gurupi, Tocantins. Constata-se que a coleta de resíduos sólidos no município tem boa funcionalidade e a gestão municipal busca melhorias para aperfeiçoar o processo, porém esbarra no quesito financeiro. Quanto ao Aterro Sanitário de Gurupi, o mesmo possui deficiências na operacionalidade e dificuldades de atendimento à totalidade das demandas da Lei 12.305/2010, em contrapartida é bem conceituado pela Fundação Nacional da Saúde, demonstrando-se ser referência no estado. Dessa forma o presente artigo apresenta o diagnóstico da situação atual operacional dos resíduos sólidos no município de Gurupi.
Análise Morfométrica da Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Santo Antônio como instrumento de apoio à gestão de recursos hídricos em Tocantins Morphometric Analysis of the Santo Antônio River Basin an instrument to support the management of water resources in Tocantins RESUMO Este estudo teve como objetivo obter uma base de dados de drenagem e hipsométria para auxiliar medidas de gestão territorial da bacia do Rio Santo Antônio, Estado do Tocantins, útil como instrumento do Comitê das Bacias Hidrográficas dos Rios Santo Antônio e Santa Tereza-CBHSAST. Com o uso do software QGIS, Modelo Digital de Elevação (MDE), foi possível calcular os dados morfométricos e gerar mapas de hipsometria e declividade. A bacia apresentou padrão de drenagem sob a forma dendrítica e alongada. Área de drenagem apresentada foi de 3.067,161 Km² e perímetro de 331,998 Km. Com base nos resultados obtidos, pode-se concluir que o coeficiente de compacidade (1,68), índice de circularidade (0,35), fator de forma (0,31) e índice de sinuosidade (18%) demostram que a bacia tem baixa tendência de ocorrer picos de enchentes. Por outro lado, a densidade hidrográfica (0,024) demonstra que a bacia possui baixa capacidade de formar novos canais ao passo que a densidade de drenagem (0,23) evidencia que a velocidade de drenagem é considerada baixa.
