ResumoO objetivo deste texto é discutir a respeito de algumas estratégias organizativas empregadas pela União dos Homens de Cor (UHC) -grupo fundado em Porto Alegre em 1943 e que cinco anos mais tarde se ramificava por mais dez estados da Federação -, em diferentes partes do território nacional através dos periódicos da imprensa negra. Este é um exercício teórico na direção de uma análise sobre a construção e de uma identidade racial negra no Brasil, entre os anos 40 e 50, tendo como estudo de caso a UHC. Em primeiro lugar, é delineada a organização dos negros nos anos 40 e 50, numa perspectiva etnográfica e daí são apresentadas algumas reflexões sobre a UHC. Neste sentido este texto pretende contribuir para com o debate que situa as organizações do Movimento Social dos Negros no tempo sócio-histórico em que estejam localizadas.

The União dos Homens de Cor: aspects of the black movement in the 40's and 50'sThe objective of this article is to discuss some organizational strategies implemented by the União dos Homens de Cor (Colored Men's Union) -UHC, which is a group founded in Porto Alegre in 1943 and five years later has been spread to more than ten states, in different places of Brazil through newspapers organized by a Negro press. This is a theoretical exercise towards the analysis of the construction of a black-race identity in Brazil during the 40's and 50's, having the UHC as a case study. In first place, it presents the black organization during this period from an ethnographic perspective and then indicates some reflections on the UHC presented. However, this text intends to contribute to the discussion about the Black Social Movement organizations in the social-historical time they are inserted.
RESUMO O presente artigo tem por objetivo discorrer sobre racismo institucional e atuação de professoras doutoras e negras em universidades públicas dos estados do Ceará e Rio de Janeiro. Tratamos de equalizar e qualificar o debate, ainda caro na atualidade, sobre práticas de racismo/sexismo em instituições públicas. Para tanto, adotamos como proposta metodológica a realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas com doutoras que se autodeclararam negras. Os relatos esclarecem a persistência do racismo, suas afrontas nas trajetórias docentes, e pontuam o ativismo e as ações coletivas de enfrentamento adotadas por cada professora interpelada nesta investigação.
Nicácia Lina do Carmo 3 Resumo: Este trabalho promove uma reflexão sobre os vinte anos de promulgação da Lei 10.639/03. Objetiva-se contribuir para a expansão das reflexões sobre a implementação da lei, sugerindo sua efetivação no âmbito escolar e acadêmico. Os procedimentos metodológicos foram contemplados por uma revisão bibliográfica e entrevista realizada com um professor universitário da educação para as relações étnico-raciais no Brasil, sendo também participante de movimentos sociais. O texto apresenta análises sobre a dificuldade de implementação dos conteúdos sobre a história e cultura negra nos currículos escolares e acadêmicos, exibindo o ponto de vista do entrevistado de acordo com as suas experiências na educação. Este estudo ressalta a importância da participação dos docentes de todas as áreas, no ensino da história e cultura negra, contribuindo para a disseminação, entendimento e reconhecimento dessa temática.
Resumo: Este estudo investiga os conhecimentos teóricos e práticos adotados por professores de História de Nível Médio sobre a Lei nº 10.639/03. Esta pesquisa é de caráter qualitativo. A metodologia utilizada consiste em análises bibliográficas e documentais sobre o tema, realizando-se tambémentrevistas com professores de História do Ensino Médio do Colégio Estadual Liceu do Ceará. Ao final da pesquisa, verificou-se que os professores investigados – advindos das Universidades Estadual e Federal do Ceará – não foram contemplados com componentes curriculares sobre História e CulturaAfro-brasileira e os docentes que possuíam algum conhecimento sobre o adquirido por meio de interesse particular. É necessário haver uma adaptação dos Projetos Políticos e Pedagógicos de ambas as universidades para se adequarem à legislação vigente, visando aos benefícios para a educação cearensedentro de um norte de formação multicultural.
