Introducción: La terapia intravenosa neonatal es la herramienta más utilizada para el alivio de diversas patologías. Ésta resulta indispensable para administrar fármacos, nutrición parenteral, hemoderivados, líquidos y electrolitos en neonatos enfermos o críticamente enfermos. Por lo tanto, debe ser considerada como una línea de vida, ya que resulta indispensable para el éxito del tratamiento y, por ello, su cuidado debe ser meticuloso. Objetivo: brindar una actualización en la praxis de la terapia intravenosa neonatal que permita al personal de salud tomar decisiones asertivas en el cuidado y con apego a la evidencia científica. Metodología: se desplegó una revisión de las obras científicas en idioma inglés y español en bases científicas PubMed, Scielo, Lilacs y ScienceDirect. Resultados: Se encontraron 104 artículos que abordaban tópicos relacionados con la terapia intravenosa neonatal y pediátrica, se eligieron los que reportaron datos concretos en la población de análisis y se excluyeron a los que entre sus resultados solo mencionaban datos de población pediátrica. Conclusiones: la literatura científica nacional e internacional disponible permite al personal sanitario mejorar la atención del neonato respecto a la terapia intravenosa, invitando a la reflexión sobre la praxis libre de riesgos, con conocimiento de causa y en consecuencia, más humana.
La violencia doméstica contra la mujer y el consumo de alcohol son considerados problemas de salud pública. Esta investigación descriptiva presentó como objetivo general determinar la ocurrencia de violencia doméstica contra mujeres estudiantes de una Facultad de Enfermería y Obstetricia de la Ciudad de Celaya, en Guanajuato, México, y su relación con el consumo de alcohol por las parejas de estas mujeres. La muestra fue compuesta por 73 alumnas, seleccionadas aleatoriamente. Para efectos de recolección de datos, se utilizó el cuestionario estructurado y validado denominado CASIQUE-QUEJ TUN. Los datos fueron analizados con el paquete estadístico SPPS. En lo que se refiere a la violencia física, 91,9% manifestaron no haber sido maltratadas por sus parejas. En lo que se refiere al consumo de alcohol, 57,5% de las entrevistadas y 67,1% de sus parejas lo consumen en reuniones sociales. Los resultados apuntaron también que 41,1% de las participantes no conocen sus derechos con relación a la violencia doméstica. De esta forma, son necesarias acciones de concientización de las mujeres sobre sus derechos, y las posibilidades de buscar ayuda legal en casos de violencia.Descriptores: Violencia; Derechos de la Mujer; Alcoholismo.
Objetivo: Identificar en literatura científica disponible acerca del asertividad sexual, autoeficacia y conductas sexuales de riesgo en adolescentes. Método: Revisión integrativa, con el fin de aclarar la siguiente cuestión: ¿Cuál es la relación entre la asertividad sexual, autoeficacia y conductas sexuales de riesgo en adolescentes? La búsqueda se realizó en las bases de datos Web Of Science (WOS), EBSCOhost¸Scopus y GoogleScholar. Resultados principales: Se analizaron 7 estudios y sus principales hallazgos son que la autoeficacia tiene influencia en las Conductas Sexuales de Riesgo (CSR); el uso de condón no se asocia con la autoeficacia, y la autoeficacia se relaciona positivamente con el debut sexual; la autoeficacia y autoeficacia en el uso de condón se asocia a decir no a realizar actividad sexual; la autoeficacia se encontró como factor protector ante las conductas de riesgo para la salud y CSR. Conclusión general: La asertividad sexual y la autoeficacia pueden ser factores que contribuyan en el desarrollo de habilidades para prevenir las CSR, conductas que en los últimos años han causado diversos problemas de salud en los adolescentes, los cuales suelen ser más propensos a realizar prácticas riesgosas, esto quizá debido a lo que conlleva el proceso de la adolescencia como tal.
