Este estudo teve o objetivo de analisar a diferença na flexibilidade toracolombar e sua relação com a força em praticantes de BJJ de diferentes graduações. Estudo transversal, no qual participaram do estudo 20 homens com idades entre 18 e 40 anos, divididos em cinco grupos de quatro participantes, representando as graduações com as seguintes cores de faixas: branca, azul, roxa, marrom e preta. Para a avaliação antropométrica, foram coletados dados referentes à massa corporal (Kg) e estatura (m), e também sete dobras cutâneas para o cálculo do percentual de gordura baseado no protocolo de Jackson e Pollock. Para medir a capacidade biomotora de flexibilidade, foram aplicados os testes "sentar e alcançar" de Wells e Dilon e testes angulares de tronco e flexão de quadril com os joelhos estendidos, utilizando um flexímetro. Para a medida da força, foi realizado o agachamento terra. Os resultados mostraram que não houve diferença na flexibilidade entre as diferentes graduações e, também, não foi evidente a relação de força com flexibilidade. Os sujeitos mais graduados possuem significativamente mais experiência que os menos graduados e que a flexibilidade toracolombar e de quadril não aumentam em função do tempo.
