This research investigated the effect of learning facilities and learning methods of Art and Culture teachers towards students' learning motivation at Junior High School. Students' low interest in learning Art and Culture is frequently found in Indonesia by stigma, saying that Art and Culture are easier compared to applied sciences. This research becomes important because Art and Culture Learning is the result of work and creativity based on the norms and behavior of the society in Indonesia, which plays roles in preserving the cultural heritage of Indonesia through Art and Culture wisdom. The analysis shows that improvement in learning facilities has a positive effect on motivation improvement in learning Art and Culture. The selection of the right method will make the learning process more conducive and easier to be understood by the students. Learning facilities and learning methods positive and significant effect on students' motivation in learning Art and Culture. Furthermore, the availability of a good learning facility, and strong implementation of the learning method which can affect and strengthen the students' learning motivation.
This study aims to reveal the philosophy of the ritual ceremony of Grebeg Maulud at Kasunanan Palace Surakarta from a functional point of view. This study used a qualitative approach. This study used a qualitative approach. The data is collected through observations, literature studies, interviews, and documentation with the society, who are the actors in the ritual. There are many studies on the Grebeg Maulud ritual ceremony. It focuses on the history and development of the ceremony; no study focuses on the relationship between the Grebeg ceremony and expressive symbols (art). This study is very important considering this ceremony is still around today, but most of the younger generation do not understand the expressive symbols in it. There is a correlation between the constituent symbols (religion) and the expressive symbol (art) in religious rituals. The constituent symbols in the Grebeg Maulud ritual are re lected in the Gunungan, which contains the philosophy of the nature of God and the relationship of humans with God to achieve the perfection of life known as the Paraning Dumadi -Manunggaling Kawula -Gusti. The expressive symbol in the Gunungan symbolizes the male and the female.
The service focuses on training on processing glass waste as the main ingredient in making mosaic works, themed on folklore. Aims to provide knowledge about the potential of glass waste, and the technical practice of processing it to become a mosaic work. The training participants were a group of young people from Noloro, located in Sawit, Panggungharjo, Bantul DIY. The method used in the implementation is ADDIE, which stands for the stages of the process itself, namely Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The result of the training is a mosaic work from glass waste, taking the theme of one of the folk tales from Bantul Regency, namely about the Krapyak Stage as well because it is a very iconic building.
Ketika dunia sedang dilanda pandemi, semua sektor ekonomi mengalami kemacetan dan berdampak pada penurunan yang cukup signifikan. Namun, yang menarik adalah produk hasil dari kreativitas semacam batik justru masih mempunyai kesempatan yang cukup baik untuk tetap bertahan. Apalagi dengan kemudahan melalui media online. Bisnis online sebagai sektor perekonomian baru di Indonesia berdampak pada pola pikir masyarakat termasuk masyarakat tradisional, termasuk masyarakat perajin batik. Kesempatan ini memberi peluang besar bagi dunia perbatikan khususnya para kriyawan dan perajin batik untuk melakukan pengembangan tanpa batas demi tercapainya kebaruan corak yang sesuai dengan selera pasar saat ini. Salah satu dari sekian banyak varian batik pesisir yang memiliki sejarah cukup panjang adalah batik Tiga Negeri Surakarta, yang pernah diproduksi di Surakarta dan saat ini berhenti karena satu-satunya perusahaan yang memproduksi batik jenis ini sudah tutup pada tahun 2014; padahal corak ini masih mungkin untuk dikembangkan. Batik dengan motif utama burung berekor panjang dan bunga berkelopak banyak ini terkait dengan filosofi Cina dan dipadukan dengan isen ciri khas batik pedalaman khususnya Surakarta. Target untuk memberikan nuansa baru, yang sesuai dengan konsumen masa kini, memerlukan teknik khusus agar tepat sasaran. Penelitian kualitatif ini memanfaatkan pendekatan analisis tren mode untuk mendapatkan masukan ke arah mana pengembangan motif harus dimulai. Melalui analisis tren dapat diukur tren yang sedang terjadi di pasar beberapa tahun ke depan, sesuai dengan kondisi dan perubahan masyarakat yang sedang terjadi.
