RESUMONo presente trabalho, os tratamentos do delineamento fatorial fracionado (1/5) (5x5x5), obtido pela superposição de três quadrados latinos ortogonais, são colocados em cinco blocos, com a utilização de um quarto quadrado latino ortogonal. Um modelo quadrático em X foi usado para estudo da superfície de resposta, sendo considerados polinômios ortogonais linear e quadrático para cada um dos fatores e para blocos, uma vez que, em ensaios de campo, a maior parte do gradiente de fertilidade ou de outras causas sistemáticas pode ser eliminada com a estimação desses dois efeitos; foram ainda colocadas no modelo as interações lineares de dois fatores. Somente os efeitos lineares são estimados independentemente, e foram dadas, para cada fator e para blocos, as matrizes para cálculo dos efeitos quadráticos ajustados. Quando é eliminada do modelo uma das interações de dois fatores, o efeito quadrático do fator restante passa a ser estimado independentemente. Se o quarto índice for utilizado como outro fator, tem-se o delineamento (1/25) (5 x 5 x 5 x 5), completamente casualizado; este permite o estudo simultâneo de quatro fatores em cinco níveis, com apenas vinte e cinco pontos experimentais; o modelo contém efeitos lineares e quadráticos dos quatro fatores e as interações lineares desses fatores dois a dois. Se nos delineamentos (1/51 (5 x 5 x 5), divididos em cinco blocos, e (1/25) (5x5x5x5) completamente casualizado, todas as interações de dois fatores forem não-significativas, o modelo ficará só com os termos lineares e quadráticos puros, e estes poderão ser estimados independentemente, à semelhança do que ocorre com o (1/5) (5x5x5) completamente casualizado. . INTRODUÇÃOOs delineamentos fatoriais, introduzidos por FISHER (11) e muito bem definidos por YATES (24), têm sido amplamente utilizados em pesquisa. Para trabalhos exploratórios, os fatoriais 2 k são apropriados; em pesquisa mais detalhada, são necessários mais que dois níveis de cada fator. Na Agricultura, por exemplo, o fatorial 3x3x3 tem sido muito usado, principalmente em experi-
Êste trabalho estuda a eficiência do delineamento fatorial 3³, em blocos de 9, em relação ao delineamento completamente casualizodo. Utilizaram-se cêrca de 260 experiências de adubação de olgodoeiro, realizadas nos anos de 1957/58, 1958/59 e 1959/60, em diferentes locais escolhidos, os quais abrangeram os principais tipos de solo cultivado com algodão no Estado de São Paulo. O confundimento em blocos de 9 foi, em média, 20% mais eficiente que o delineamento sem restrição.
O delineamento duplo central composto com 29 pontos representa uma extensão do delineamento central composto e foi desenvolvido para o estudo de três fatores em mais de três níveis. Essencialmente, consta de dois fatoriais 2³ (níveis 1 e B), de duas estrelas (níveis a e 2alfa) e de um ponto no centro do delineamento. É mostrada a origem do delineamento, o tipo não ortogonal, completamente casualizado, o tipo ortogonal completamente casualizado e o ortogonal divisível em dois blocos. No primeiro deles, seriam estudados três fatores em cinco níveis (-2, -1,-0, + 1 e +2); no segundo, três fatores em nove níveis (-3,02; -2,00; -1,51; -1,00; 0,00; + 1,00; +1,51; +2,00 e +3.02) e, no terceiro, três fatores nos nove níveis seguintes (-7,262; -4,391; -3,631; -1,000; 0,000; +1,000; +3,631; +4,391 e +7,262). É apresentado também um exemplo do último delineamento. com sua análise respectiva. De acordo com o critério de Box & Wilson (2), esse último delineamento é mais eficiente que o fatorial 3 x 3 x 3 divisível em blocos de nove. Os três delineamentos podem ser empregados em programas de adubação visando ao estudo de macronutrientes com vistas à recomendação das doses ótimas de fertilizantes que possibilitem a maximização do lucro obtido e, ainda, em outras áreas da pesquisa científica em que se deseja a avaliação da superfície de resposta, o estudo dos seus pontos extremos, etc.
Para avaliar as propriedades do delineamento (1/5) (5³), obtido pela superposição de três quadrados latinos ortogonais, foi usada simulação de dados, a partir primeira-mente da equação fundamental seguinte: Yijk = 3500 + 180 x li+ 250 x lj + 120 x lk - 42 x 2i - 55 x2j - - 28 x2k - 25 x lilj - 18 x lilk- 12 x ljlk (A) Os coeficientes da equação fundamental (A) representam o valor médio, os efeitos lineares, quadráticos e as interações linear x linear entre os três fatores npk para uma superfície de resposta expressa em quilogramas de milho por hectare; os valores desses coeficientes foram escolhidos de tal modo que os efeitos principais são significativamente diferentes de zero, os coeficientes quadráticos e as interações fazendo com que o ponto de máximo da função esteja localizado entre os dois níveis mais altos, dentro do intervalo das dosagens utilizadas, Os valores dos componentes linear e de segundo grau para as superfícies adaptadas através de um modelo quadrático e de um modelo com raiz quadrada foram, respectivamente: modelo quadrático: x1=-3+X, x2 =7- 6X+X² modelo com raiz quadrada: x?= a???+(X)½ e x2=a2+ g2 (X)½+X, onde a?=1,67646; a2=2,41157; g2=-3,22798, obtidos com as restrições de ortogonalidade: Sx?= Sx2= Sx?x2,=0, conforme descrito em trabalho anterior (3). Os erros a serem distribuídos pelos tratamentos foram calculados a partir de um histograma da curva normal, com coeficiente de variação de 8,5%; a atribuição desses erros foi feita por sorteio ao acaso, para os 25 tratamentos obtidos a partir da equação (A), simulando-se 60 conjuntos de dados. Foram adaptadas as superfícies de resposta de modelos quadrático e com raiz quadrada a cada um dos 60 experimentos, e também às médias de tratamentos obtidas pelo grupamento de n experimentos, com n igual a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30 e 60. Os estimadores bP dos parâmetros apresentaram boa convergência para os dois modelos, e os 12coeficientes de determinação tiveram praticamente o mesmo valor. A porcentagem de pontos de máximo, obtida através das equações canônicas, é dada a seguir, para os diferentes grupamentos, nos dois modelos. Conclusões análogas foram obtidas em relação aos estimadores bP. Em relação à porcentagem de pontos de máximo, para esta nova equação fundamental utilizada, foram obtidos os seguintes resultados: MODELO GRUPAMENTO 1 2 3 4 5 6 10 12 15 20 30 60 Quadrático 33 70 65 67 92 90 100 100 100 100 100 100 Raiz quadrada 15 27 35 47 50 50 67 80 75 100 100 100 Os valores indicam que, independentemente da equação fundamental utilizada, quando o modelo é de natureza quadrática, o grupamento de 10 experimentos do delineamento (1/5) (5³) é suficiente para obter 100% de pontos de máximo, enquanto são necessários 20 experimentos quando se utiliza o modelo com raiz quadrada. É desenvolvida, para os dados da simulação com (A) e (C), a partir das equações em X, a análise econômica para os dois modelos, com apresentação sucinta dos principais resultados obtidos.
É descrita a análise estatística de um grupo especial de fatoriais fracionados (1/5) (5³), utilizando os modelos quadráticos e com raiz quadrada; tal estudo foi desenvolvido pelos autores visando principalmente sua aplicação em experimentos agronômicos com fertilizantes. Estes delineamentos fatoriais se originaram da superposição de três dos quatro quadrados latinos ortogonais 5x5, sendo obtidos três conjuntos básicos, designados por Tipo I, II, III, Tipo I, II, IV e Tipo I, III, IV; o último deles é apresentado: 111 245 324 453 532 222 351 435 514 143 333 412 541 125 254 444 523 152 231 315 555 134 213 342 42 O modelo quadrático com dez parâmetros é dado por: Yijk = b0x0 +b li x li + b lj x lj + b lk x lk + b2i x2i + b2j x2j + b2k x2k + + b lilj x lilj + b lilk x lilk + b ljlk x ljlk + x ijk em que x lm = a1 + Xm, x2m = a2 + g2Xm + X²m , com m= i,j,k; os níveis em cada fator variam de 1 a 5; com as condições de ortogonalidade Sx lm=0, Sx2m=0, Sx lm x2m=0, resulta Sxlm=-3+Xm e Sx2m= 7-6Xm+X²m, de onde se tem: x l1=-2; x l2=-1; x l3=0; x l4=1; x l5=2; x21=2; x22=-1; x23=-2; x24=-1; x25=2, para cada índice i,j,k. O coeficiente linear para cada fator pode ser estimado independentemente; os coeficientes quadráticos e das interações linear x linear são estimados a partir de uma matriz simétrica completa 6x6. Consequentemente, na análise da variância as somas de quadrados dos componentes lineares são independentes, mas as somas de quadrados dos componentes quadráticos e das interações são confundidas e, por isso, testadas conjuntamente. Se a contribuição de um fator e sua interação com os outros são negligíveis, podem ser calculadas estimativas independentes dos coeficientes linear e quadrático dos outros dois fatores e sua interação correspondente. Por outro lado, se todos os fatores são importantes mas suas interações são negligíveis, os coeficientes lineares e quadráticos de cada fator são estimados independentemente. O modelo polinomial com raiz quadrada pode ser representado na mesma forma (A), com os valores: x lm= a1+ (Xm)½ e x2m= a2+ g2(Xm)½ +Xm, onde m= i,j,k; Sx lm=0, Sx2m=0, Sx lm x2m=0, dando: x lm= -1,67646 + (Xm)½, x2m= 2,41157-3,22798 (Xm)½ +Xm o que resulta x l1=-0,67646; x l2=-0,26226; x l3=0,05554; x l4=0,32354; x l5=0,55964; x21=0,18359; x22=-0,15342; x23=-0,17928; x24=-0,04438; x25=0,19349, para cada fator i,j,k. Neste modelo, com exclusão de b0, os coeficientes para cada fator e para as respectivas interações são estimados a partir de uma matriz simétrica completa 9x9; assim, com exceção da soma de quadrados correspondente a b0, que pode ser calculada isoladamente, teremos uma única soma de quadrados representando todos os outros coeficientes, que serão, por isso, testados englobadamente. Quando as três interações, ou quando um fator principal e suas interações são negligíveis, o modelo com raiz quadrada apresenta as mesmas propriedades que o modelo quadrático. Assumindo a não existência de interações, pode-se utilizar o modelo de Mitscherlich Y= A [1-10-c(x+h) ] para avaliação da resposta de cada fator, a partir dos totais marginais correspondentes. Pode-se ainda obter uma avaliação extra a partir da diagonal principal do delineamento, que representa a resposta a quantidades crescentes, em níveis iguais, para os três fatores. Com vistas à avaliação do incremento devido ao uso da adubação e ainda uma visualização extra do efeito de calcário e calcário mais micronutrientes, podem ser adicionados ao delineamento (1/5) (5x5x5) alguns tratamentos extras para melhor atingir esse objetivo: o tratamento 000, o tratamento 333+(Ca+Mg) e o tratamento 333+(Ca+Mg)+ micronutrientes, possivelmente com duas repetições para cada um deles. Se se desejar avaliar a adequação do modelo utilizado, podem ser colocados mais quatro ou cinco pontos no nível 333. Usando uma amplitude apropriada das dosagens (evitando platô nas respostas), este grupo de delineamentos possibilita uma análise mais eficiente da curvatura da superfície de resposta na área da decisão econômica. Se os modelos são usados sem as interações, a estimação dos parâmetros, de forma independente, para os modelos quadrático, com raiz quadrada e Mitscherlich, pode ser facilmente conseguida. Estas propriedades são de grande interesse nos estudos econômicos de programas de fertilizantes para países em desenvolvimento. Com a ajuda de uma rede de experimentos deste tipo, podem ser obtidos estudos econômicos com macronutrientes como nitrogênio, fósforo e potássio, por exemplo, com cinco níveis de cada fator, com experimentos de tamanho médio.
