Objetivo: Descrever o perfil epidemiológico e características do trabalho de profissionais atuantes em UTI de pacientes com COVID-19, seus principais meios de atualização frente à pandemia e fatores de estresse a que são submetidos. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo transversal, envolvendo profissionais atuantes em UTI-COVID-19, aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa e realizado em agosto de 2020, com dados coletados por meio da plataforma Google Forms. Resultados: Foram avaliados 63 profissionais, 41,3% técnicos de enfermagem e 27% enfermeiros; 52% com menos de 40 anos e com média de 13 anos de atuação profissional. A Internet foi utilizada por 96,8% dos avaliados para sanar dúvidas profissionais. A carga horária diária de 77,7% dos profissionais foi de 12 horas e a realização de curativos e banhos no leito foram consideradas as atividades mais demoradas e cansativas; 46% dos profissionais foram acometidos por COVID-19. Conclusão: Profissionais atuantes em UTI COVID eram, majoritariamente, da área da enfermagem e com menos de 40 anos. A alta taxa de infecção por COVID na equipe, demora e cansaço na realização de determinadas atividades e o regime de trabalho podem ser considerados fatores estressores na equipe. A Internet se mostrou o principal meio de atualização utilizado.
Objetivo: apresentar o caso clínico de um paciente com enfisema lobar congênito (ELC) tratado cirurgicamente no 16º dia de vida. Descrição do caso: Paciente recém-nascido, sexo masculino, apresentou ao nascimento aumento progressivo do esforço respiratório com queda da saturação de O2, demandando suporte ventilatório por meio de campânula de Hood. À radiografia de tórax apresentou hiperinsuflação pulmonar associada a desvio mediastinal, sinais que foram detalhados à tomografia computadorizada de tórax, evidenciando acometimento dos lobos superior direito e médio, permitindo o diagnóstico de ELC e, por conseguinte, a indicação cirúrgica. Optou-se por ressecção dos lobos acometidos através de toracotomia lateral direita. O paciente apresentou melhora clínica e permanece há um ano assintomático e com boa função ventilatória. Considerações finais: O ELC é uma doença grave, que apresenta bons resultados ao tratamento cirúrgico, alcançando bons resultados funcionais especialmente a longo prazo.
Objetivo: Avaliar duas estratégias de treinamento de profissionais de saúde, na prevenção de contaminação especialmente por aerossóis; avaliar o conhecimento anterior e posterior aos treinamentos efetuados e prover treinamento em procedimentos produtores de aerossóis. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo clínico randomizado desenvolvido entre junho 2021 e agosto 2021. Por randomização, a amostra foi dividida em dois grupos: grupo 1 (metodologia de ensino remoto) e grupo 2 (metodologia presencial) de treinamento em uso de equipamentos de proteção individual. Os participantes foram avaliados por formulário online em três momentos distintos: antes do treinamento (pré-teste); imediatamente após (pós-teste 1) e 60 dias depois da capacitação (pós-teste 2). Resultados: Foram incluídos 62 profissionais de saúde, com média de idade de 44,3 anos, sendo a maioria do gênero feminino (72,6%). O melhor resultado da amostra foi evidenciado no pós-teste 1 (71,1% de acertos). O grupo 1 se destacou no resultado individual do pós-teste 1, apresentando 72,6% de acertos. Conclusão: A capacitação de profissionais em uso de EPIs traz resultados positivos à equipe e à proteção individual, tanto de forma remota quanto presencial, representando um ponto crucial para desenvolvimento e manutenção dos resultados em equipe a longo prazo.
