S-mediated [1 + 2 + 2] and [1 + 3 + 1] cycloaddition reactions of aromatic alkynes to give tetraphenylthiophene and 2-benzylidenetetrahydrothiophene derivatives via two C-S bond formations are developed. These two protocols provide new, simple, and straightforward strategies to construct tetraphenylthiophene and 2-benzylidenetetrahydrothiophene derivatives under transition-metal-free conditions. This study also expands the application of S in organic reactions.
Cascade cyclization reactions of S3˙−in situ generated from S2− with 1,3-enynes for the chemoselective synthesis of 2,3,5-trisubstituted thiophenes and 3-thienyl disulfides controlled by sulfide salts are developed.
A chemoselective Co(ii)-catalyzed effective synthesis of sulfonylamidyl amide and 3-imine indole derivatives by using isocyanides and sulfonyl azides has been developed. This protocol provides a new, environmentally friendly and simple strategy for the efficient synthesis of the sulfonylamidyl amide and 3-imine indole derivatives with a wide range of substrates in the absence of any oxidants and additives.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
