Análise Crítica do Discurso. Registro. Variação. ABSCTRACT:Political discourse is comprised of a myriad of texts, official or not, produced by recognizable and legitimated agents in a society. In parallel with many discussions upon a definition of political discourse, we see the necessity of deepening such matter, once the social spheres where it circulates are varied, producing different discursive practices. Thus, this study aims to promote a discussion upon concepts of political discourse as well as to present a broadening of concepts in order to support future investigations. To do such, our initial methodological procedure consisted in a bibliographical review from Aristotle (2000Aristotle ( [1140), 2002 [1252], 2005 [1354]), as well as in Critical Discourse Analysis (FAIRCLOUGH, 2003;BAYLEY, 2008; FAIRCLOUGH e FAIRCLOUGH, 2012), in Discourse-Historical Approach (WODAK, 2008(WODAK, , 2009(WODAK, , 2012 and in Halliday and Matthiessen (2004, 2014) and in Matthiessen (2013, 2015 the notion of register to support the linguistic analysis in each context. As a result, we propose a discursive tripartition -political discourse, politician discourse and discourse upon politics -to which is accompanied by a network of topological systems towards the analysis of discursive practices at the political area.
Tomou-se como base teórica a representação de atores sociais, de van Leeuwen (1997) ABSTRACT: This paper aims to present representations of the terms God and democracy through the linguistic choices of Deputies/ Political in their votes in the session that decided the admissibility of the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff. The theoretical representation of social actors, van Leeuwen (1997), and the Transitivity System, by Halliday and Matthiessen (2014), were taken as theoretical basis. The research was developed in 6 steps: description of the context in which the corpus is inserted; Segmentation of Members' votes into clauses and selection of those who had the terms delimited for analysis; Classification by Transitivity System; Classification by category of distribution of roles of Social Actors; Quantification and categorization of results; Interpretation of the evidence. As for social actors, it was verified that God is actively represented (64.5%) and democracy is represented passively (78.4%). Regarding the system of transitivity, the participant God is represented as Receptor (30.4%) and Actor (26.0%), and democracy is performed as Circumstance (87%).
