O objetivo deste estudo é analisar se existe relação espacial entre a violência urbana e a violência das escolas nos municípios no Rio Grande do Sul. Para isso, a técnica de análise exploratória de dados espaciais (AEDE) foi aplicada aos indicadores de violência urbana e nas escolas dos municípios em 2017. Os resultados da AEDE indicaram que os cluster Alto-Alto do índice de violência dentro das escolas públicas do Rio Grande do Sul coincide com as regiões com maior índice de criminalidade urbana, evidenciando uma relação positiva entre o índice de violência urbana e a violência escolar.
O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a dinâmica dos padrões espaciais no território do Rio grande do Sul, com o intuito de explicar como se comporta a questão do desenvolvimento nesse estado, suas peculiaridades, causas e desdobramentos. O estudo utiliza os dados do IDHM e suas três dimensões: renda, longevidade e educação e faz uma comparação entre os anos de 2000 e 2010. Busca-se também analisar como os gastos públicos em saúde e educação estão associados ao bem-estar da sociedade. Percebe-se que os melhores índices estão concentrados nas regiões norte e metropolitana do estado tanto em 2000 quanto em 2010, evidenciando a desigualdade na distribuição espacial do IDHM. Além disso, contatou-se que existe uma relação positiva entre o IDHM e os gastos per capita em saúde e saneamento e educação e cultura.
