Die Arbeit verfolgt das Ziel, das Verhalten einer gewissen Kompliziertheitsgrolje fur Automaten, der Redundanz, bei Serienschaltung (Komposition) zu untersuchen. Am SchluB werden die dabei noch zu bewaltigenden Aufgaben formuliert. Wir stutzen uns bei unseren Ausfuhrungen auf eine von BUDACH und HOEHNKE geschaffene kategorientheoretische Konzeption der Automatentheorie.Seien R ein kommutativer Ring mit Einselement und A , B, S R-Moduln,schreiben wir auch s b bzw. s * b. Durch die Multiplikation wird der R-Modul S zu einem Rechtsmodul uber der Tensoralgebra T ( B ) von B. Entsprechend wirdeine ,,auSere Multiplikation" S @ T(B) @ B -A durch definiert. Die Redundanz RedY eines R-Modulautomaten 9 ist nun wie folgt erklart : 9 = (8, B, A , d, I ) s(b1 Man zeigt leicht, daB R e d 3 ein T(B)-Untermodul von 8 ist. Red lkljt sich auch als Funktor von Aut, Mod R in Mod T ( B ) auffassen (dabei bezeichnet Aut, Mod R die abelsche Kategorie der R-Modulautomaten niit fester projektiver Eingabe B und Mod T ( B ) die abelsche Kategorie der T(B)-Rechtsmoduln) ; dieser Punktor ist linksexakt. *) Uber die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit wurde auf einer Ta.gung uber Automatentheorie, Berlin 1971, vorgetragen.
