Schooling period is particularly important for posture formation because during this period pupils grow and develop quickly, bones and their commissures are intensively forming. The child should also get knowledge about hygiene and healthy lifestyle but still more significance is attached to physical exercises, active physical activities, strengthening all body muscles. 60 eighth form pupils at the age from 13 to 14 years participated in the research. The majority of adolescents choose more than one kind of physical activity but physical education lessons remain the main occupation during which children engage in physical activities. More than a half of adolescents do exercises on their own, less than a half of them go to workouts or the sports club.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the attitude of 8 form students of Šiauliai city progymnasiums towards health and physical activeness. The study was attended by 870 (out of 1088) 8 form students of Šiauliai city progymnasiums. Questionnaire survey was chosen as the main research instrument. The research was conducted employing quantitative research methodology. The respondents of the research were given out questionnaires, the data of which were systematised, analysed and presented in graphs.
The aim of the research – to evaluate the change in work capacity in students of the speciality of decorator applying vocational rehabilitation programmes. The students of the vocational training study programme of the decorator in the vocational training centre (N=10) participated in the research. In performing the present research the method of linear experiment has been chosen. The respondents were evaluated with ERGOSII Work Simulator. Individual rehabilitation programme for training work capacity was created for every respondent and performed for three month time period. After three months the re-evaluation was performed.
<p>The article describes a quasi-experiment that lasted 3 months and an integrated physical capacity training (IPCT) program, a diagnostic assessment of general working physical abilities using the Ergos II<sup>TM</sup> Work Simulator system. The results of the study reveal the impact of the IPCT program on the change of general work physical abilities and the assessment of subjective efforts of young adults with intellectual disabilities.</p>
Low activity level of disabled persons is closely related to the lack of their vocational skills, qualification, experience and motivation. All of the above mentioned elements are interrelated and can be the cause of each other.
The aim of the research – to create the grounded theory for the successful integration of disabled persons into the labour market after their vocational rehabilitation. The given paper presents a model for the successful integration of disabled persons into the labour market. The model can be further used in order to improve the vocational rehabilitation process and, consequently, increase the number of employed disabled persons. Such integration does not only improve the employment indicators of disabled persons but also contributes to their socialization and wellbeing.
