Ikan merupakan salah satu komoditas produk segar yang mudah rusak. Kerusakan pada ikan dindikasikan adanya penurunan mutu pada ikan. Penurunan mutu ikan disebabkan beberapa aktivitas yang dimulai dari penangkapan hingga ke konsumen terutama pada proses rantai distribusi. Proses pengendalian mutu ikan tongkol sejak praproduksi sampai di konsumen belum diketahui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh rantai distribusi terhadap mutu ikan tongkol dan menganalisa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi mutu ikan tongkol selama proses distribusi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus terhadap mutu ikan. Selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan Uji-Kruskal Wallis (P<0.05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh rantai distribusi terhadap mutu ikan. Mutu ikan tongkol mengalami penurunan dari proses pendaratan hingga tiba di tangan konsumen tetapi keadaan mutu ikan masih layak untuk dikonsumsi. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi mutu ikan selama distribusi adalah sanitasi, hygienitas, transportasi dan cara penanganan oleh petugas. Rekomendasi Kebijakan adalah: (1) perlu adanya pengawasan dari pemerintah daerah dan pihak pelabuhan; (2) memberikan penyuluhan terhadap stakeholder cara menerapkan sistem rantai dingin, dan; (3) memberikan penyuluhan terhadap pelaku distribusi terkait mutu dan harga.Title: The Effect of Distribution Chain on The Quality of Tuna Mackerel (Euthynus sp.) from “PPP Blanakan” to Consumer AreaFish is an high perishable fresh commodity. Fish damage indicated by a decrease in fish quality. The decreased fish quality are caused by several activities from capture to consumer especially in the process of distribution chain. There is an unknown process of the quality control of tuna mackerel (Euthynus sp) during its distribution chain. The research aims to determine the effect of distribution chain to the fish quality and what factors affecting the quality of mackerel tuna during the distribution process. This research is a case study of fish quality. Data were analyzed using Kruskal Wallis-Test (P<0.05). The results showed that there is an influence of distribution chain on fish quality. The value of fish quality has decreased from landing to consumers, but it is still safe for consumption. The influencing factors to the fish quality are sanitation, hygiene, transportation and handling method. Recommendation of the research are providing: (1) supervision from government and the harbor port; (2) Information to stakeholders regarding the implementation a cold chain system, and; (3) Training on fish quality and price to the distribution actors.
Marketing is the key to the sustainability of economic activity is no exception fish catches came from Brondong fishing port. Fish landed in Brondong fishing port is diverse. Spotted big eye fish (Priacanthus tayenus) and yellow goat fish (Upeneus sulphureus) is the dominant fish catches and eastern little tuna (Euthynnus affinis) and red snapper (Lutjanus malabaricus) is an economical high in fish landed in Brondong fishing port. Fishermen in Brondong fishing port average daily fishing 159 tons of fish. The potential magnitude of catches landed in Brondong fishing port must be balanced with good marketing. Marketing activities should be carried out as efficiently as possible so that the business side can provide great benefits from the results of these marketing activities. Fish marketing activities stemming from Brondong fishing port is still inefficient due to marketing activities still using traditional tools. Seeing the condition that it is important to know the level of the efficient marketing activity fish from Brondong fishing port. The aim of this study is to calculate the level of marketing efficiency of fish in Brondong fishing port, Lamongan, East Java. The research will be implemented by the method of the case against the strategy of increasing marketing efficiency of fish from Brondong fishing port. Analysis of the formula used is marketing efficiency. Based on the analysis conducted showed that showed that the existing marketing activity in Brondong fishing port is inefficient. Nelayan PPN Brondong perhari rata-rata melakukan penangkapan ikan 159 ton ikan. Potensi besarnya hasil tangkapan yang didaratkan di PPN Brondong harus dapat diimbangi dengan pemasaran yang baik. Aktivitas pemasaran harus dapat dilakukan se efisien mungkin sehingga dari sisi bisnis dapat memberikan keuntungan yang besar dari hasil kegiatan pemasaran ini. Aktivitas distribusi pemasaran ikan yang berasal dari PPN Brondong saat ini masih belum efisien dikarenakan aktivitas pemasaran masih menggunakan alat-alat yang tradisional. Distribution of catch fishing port is important because if the catch is distributed, the product sales will catch up to the location of the consumer. This study aimed to obtain the distribution pattern of the catch at the fishing port in the north coast of Java. Conducted a comparative descriptive analysis based on the market, connectivity and marketing offender through the presentation of maps, charts and tables. The results showed that the distribution pattern of the catch on the north coast of Java based market include market distribution locally, regionally, outside Java and export. Distribution of catches in the fishing port north coast of Java are distributed to local and regional markets. The supply of fish to the domestic market in the fishing port of the northern coast of Java has been adequately met as much as 91.32% and the remaining 8.68% for export. The pattern of distribution of catches by fishing port connectivity was found that the fishing port as a marketer is PPS Nizam Zachman Jakarta, while the fishing port as a supplier is PPS Nizam Zachman Jakarta and PPN Pekalongan. The distribution pattern of the catch of fishing ports based marketing perpetrator obtained 7.5 patterns based on the pattern of production of fish from the fishing port and 2 pattern based on the production of fish from outside the port. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pola distribusi hasil tangkapan pada pelabuhan perikanan di wilayah pantura Jawa. Metode penelitian adalah metode survei terhadap pola distribusi hasil tangkapan. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif komparatif berdasarkan pasar, konektivitas dan pelaku pemasaran melalui penyajian peta, bagan dan tabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola distribusi hasil tangkapan di pantura Jawa berdasarkan pasar mencakup distribusi pasar lokal, regional, luar Jawa dan ekspor. Distribusi hasil tangkapan pada pelabuhan perikanan pantura Jawa sebagian besar didistribusikan untuk pasar lokal dan regional. Pasokan ikan untuk pasar domestik di pelabuhan perikanan Pantura Jawa sudah cukup terpenuhi sebanyak 91.32% dan sisanya 8.68% untuk ekspor. <p>ABSTRACT<br />Karangantu Archipelagic Fishing Port (Karangantu AFP/PPN Karangantu) has been appointed as regional fisheries industry (formerly minapolitan), sub-sector of catch fisheries since 2010. Today, the development of the fisheries industry one of them is processing industry still undeveloped as the result of lack of area / specific industrial land in PPN Karangantu. In addition, there is no information about the superior fish landed in PPN Karangantu as raw material. This study aims to: (1) Determine the potential of fish catches landed in PPN Karangantu as raw material processing industry; (2) Obtain production alternatives for raw material surrounding fishing port that supports processing industry in PPN Karangantu. The results of this research indicated that there were 7 types of fish that had a positive value of LQ growth with a score is 3 there are squid, mackerel, kuniran, kurisi, sardine, tuna and sea-catfish. LQ score of 3 indicates that the types of fish are concentrated relatively in PPN Karangantu and can be developed in the future become a raw material for processing industry at PPN Karangantu. Alternative production of raw material can be obtained from PPI Kepuh PPI Wadas, PPI Terale, and PPI Lontarby the type of fish that are depend to the needs of processors in PPN Karangantu and brought by the sea or via land transportation.</p><p>Keywords: Karangantu archipelagic fishing port, processing fish, raw materials, superior potential,</p><p>--------</p><p><br />ABSTRAK</p><p>Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (PPN) Karangantu telah ditunjuk sebagai kawasan industri perikanan (sebelumnya minapolitan) subsektor perikanan tangkap sejak 2010. Namun, perkembangan industri perikanan salah satunya pengolahan ikan masih belum optimal sebagai akibat belum adanya kawasan/lahan khusus industri di PPN Karangantu. Selain itu, belum ada informasi mengenai ikan unggulan yang didaratkan di PPN Karangantu sebagai bahan baku olahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui potensi ikan-ikan hasil tangkapan unggulan yang didaratkan di PPN Karangantu sebagai bahan baku industri pengolahan; (2) mendapatkan alternatif produksi hasil tangkapan dari pelabuhan perikanan sekitarnya yang mendukung industri pengolahan ikan di PPN Karangantu. Metode penelitian adalah studi kasus terhadap potensi unggulan industri pengolahan ikan di PPN Karangantu. Jumlah responden ditentukan secara purposive sampling, terdiri dari nelayan, pedagang, pengolah ikan, pengelola Dinas Perikanan Kota Serang dan pengelola PPN Karangantu. Analisis data menggunakan Location Quotient (LQ) untuk mencari ikan hasil tangkapan unggulan di PPN Karangantu dan analisis kekuatan hasil tangkapan untuk mengetahui karakteristik ikan bahan baku industri pengolahan ikan di PPN Karangantu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 7 jenis ikan yang memiliki nilai pertumbuhan LQ positif dengan skor 3 yaitu cumi-cumi, kembung, kuniran, kurisi, lemuru, tongkol dan manyung. Skor LQ 3 mengindikasikan bahwa jenis-jenis ikan tersebut terkonsentrasi pendaratannya secara relatif di PPN Karangantu dan dapat terus dikembangkan menjadi bahan baku industri pengolahan ikan di PPN Karangantu.</p><p><br />Kata kunci: PPN Karangantu, pengolahan ikan, bahan baku, potensi unggulan</p>
