Numerical simulation of bearing ring hot forging manufacturing operations: upsetting and forming was done in the research. Coupled boundary non-stationary contact thermoviscoplastic problem was solved. Its numerical implementation was done by finite element method with application of customized software package. Stress-strain analysis defined dependence of forces at forging from time for upsetting, single-or two-pass forming. Data analysis showed that single-pass forming expends 12 % of power more than during twopass forming.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
