Objective: Identify a score for the diagnostic assessment of health and body image based on anthropometric and biochemical measures in the elderly. Method:Transversal research exploratory and quantitative approach, developed in the South of the city of João Pessoa-PB with 21 elderly practitioners of physical exercises in sport aerobics in the period of May to June 2015. It was used a sociodemographic questionnaire and the International Physical Activity questionnaire, IPAQ. The research was authorized by the ethics on Research Committee of the University Center of João Pessoa/PB, CAAE 38840214.7.0000.5176. Results:The study subjects had an average age of 65.9 and standard deviation 6.92 years. It was observed in table 2 the importance of body fat Mass and waist hip as the most influential in lifestyle, according to the non-parametric test of McNemar suitable for dichotomous dependent data. In table 3 the importance of all variables with exception of Edema as the most influential in body image, according to the non-parametric test of McNemar Conclusion: It is observed that the elderly present composition of body fat mass and relative CK high, according to the measure of proximity of Jaccard, thus most of the elderly are in opposition to a healthy lifestyle. It is essential for the understanding of the characteristics and the transformations that the individuals with the advancement of age
Objective: Parse through the mental health scale and perceived stress in elderly assisted by basic health units.Method: This is an exploratory study, quantitative, and performed in the period from March to July 2015, in the municipality of João Pessoa/Paraíba in northeastern Brazil, where reach selected 67 elderly persons aged 60 years or more, out of a total of 200 elderly linked to family health strategy and with preserved cognitive capacity. Results:Showed that the majority of the elderly did not submit mental suffering reported low level of perceived stress. Conclusion:We can see that elderly inserted into family and social coexistence have lower level of stress. Among the many disorders that affect the elderly, such as the limitation on motor coordination, difficulty of locomotion and metabolic deficits, mental health needs special attention.
Objective: Develop and validate a measure of satisfaction of outpatient care for people living with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, as well as assess the satisfaction with the quality of outpatient service provided to these users.Method: This is a methodological study, conducted in a hospital of infect-contagious diseases in Brazil. The sample was composed of 626 people living with AIDS and 56 specialists. As an instrument of data collection using an instrument developed for this study. A factor analysis was tested by calculating the index of Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO), inspection of the correlation matrix of the items and the test of sphericity of Bartlett. Results:The main indicators listed form: to availability of anti-retroviral drugs and laboratory tests, physical structure, respect for privacy, relationships, timing, chance to complain, quality of actions received support offered, communication, ease of access, attendance and reception schedules. The measure of service satisfaction demonstrated factor ability indication of the array with a resolution to a single factor (alpha = 0.963) and variance explained of 71.7%. There was a significant difference only to the place of origin of the patient, and those from the State more dissatisfied. Conclusion:The evaluation of satisfaction proved a strategy planning and evaluation of health services in the pursuit of improving quality of care for patients with a diagnosis of AIDS.
Introduction: Sort the family health strategy (FHS) as to the level of HIV/aids prevention and check the Association of demographics variables with levels of prevention. Method: This is a cross-sectional study, quantitative, performed with 257 professionals working in the family health strategy in the northeast of Brazil. The data were collected using a form of structured interview during the period from August to December 2014 and analyzed through descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Results: It was identified that the doctors, nurses, community health agents and technicians are highly preventive nursing, while coach of oral health and dental practitioners are few and moderately preventive respectively. The variables, female, income above minimum wage, Catholic religion, be married, working only on family health strategy, average age of 40.36 years and average time of professional activity around 9.56 years were associated with highly preventive character among the professionals interviewed. Conclusion: It was the need for greater investments in prevention of HIV/aids on the family health strategy, especially in the preparation of professionals.
