The electrical dipole relaxation in PMMA has been studied by measuring thermostimulated depolarizing currents. A master curve for the segmental component of the dielectric constant has been constructed. The increment of the dielectric permittivity due to the α‐relaxation has been determined. The distribution function of the relaxation times and the average relaxation times in the region from 70°C up to Tg = 105°C have been obtained. A way of describing the electret properties of the polymer is discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
