RESUMO: O estudo da infiltração da água no solo é um tema extremamente relevante devido à necessidade de compreender a complexa interação não linear entre os parâmetros hidráulicos e constitutivos dos solos às condições hidrológicas, iniciais e de contorno de muitos problemas geotécnicos práticos relacionados a esse tema. Por isso, o objetivo deste artigo é a avaliação da permeabilidade de dois solos arenosos, indeformados, e a determinação de seus respectivos coeficientes de permeabilidade com ensaio submetido a percolação durante um longo período de tempo para verificação da ocorrência de colmatação dos poros. Ambos os solos estudados possuíam a areia como maior fração granulométrica. O solo com maior fração de areia mostrou-se menos permeável com o passar do tempo devido à quantidade de argila. No entanto, as diferenças entre os valores de k não afetaram a ordem de grandeza dos mesmos. Os resultados dos ensaios de permeabilidade submetidos a longos períodos de percolação mostraram que há uma diminuição evidente nos valores de k no decorrer do tempo.
