V o r g e s c h i ch t e: Infolge von besonderen MaI3nahmen hinsichtlich der Verwendung von Nickel sollten in einem GroBbetrieb serien-mii2ig hergestellte Metallteile verzinkt werden. Bet Ausprobierung eines neuen alkalischen Zinkbades, das anderenorta schon seR langem angewandt wurde, ohne daB die damit Beschiiftigten Schiidigungen erlitten, ereigneten sich Arsenwasserstoffvergiftungen, yon denen eine tSdlich verlief. Am 23. 3. 37 gegen nachmittag begannen Kl., Ki. und St. mit dem Ansetzen des neuen Bades, yon dessen Zusammensetzung sie nur wul3ten, dab es angeblich ca. 80 Proz. Zinksalze, dann Kupfersalze, Cyannatrium und Spezialhiirtemittel enthielt. Die Badbestandteile waren nach einem Geheimrezep~ zusammengestellt und der Firma fertig geliefert worden. Gegen 19 Uhr war das Bad ffir die ersten Versuche bereit. St. holte fiir K1. noch Wurst und ging dann n~ch Hause. Kl. und Ki. haben dann bis gegen 23 Uhr Verzinkungsversuche angestellt, wobei KI. sich besonders h~iufig und lange fiber das Bad beugte,. Besondere Absaug-und Entliiftungsvorrichtungen waren nicht benutzt worden, da die Gefiihrlichkeit des Bades nicht bekannt war. In derselben Nacht, etwa 4 Stunden nachdem K1. die Arbeitsstelle verlassen hatte, erwachte er infolge heftiger Leibschmerzen, besonders in der Magen-und Nierengegend. Er fiihrte diese ebenso wie Erbrechert kurz nach Verlassen tier Arbeitsst~itte und am niichsten Morgen auf den GenuB tier evtl. verdorbenen Wurst zuriick. Er blieb ied(~c,h der Arbeit fern. Als er spiiter hSrte, dab sein Mitarbeiter Ki. ebenfalls erkrankt und durch einen Arzt ins Krankenhaus eingewiesen werden set, suchte er gegen MRtag einen Arzt auf, tier ihn sofort ins Hospital einwies. --186
