Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) is acute onset. It is auto immune mediated neuropathy. Nutrition play important role in GBS patients. GBS is no traumatic disorder. It is paralytic diseases in developing countries. The auto antibodies are present against the various antigens in peripheral regions. The occurrence of this disease is very rare. The incidence of the GBS is 0.4 to 1.7 per million people per year. GBS have subtypes acute motor axonal neuropathy (AMAN), and ADIP acute inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy. A 12 years old male patient admitted in Government hospital with the complaint of inability to walk and stand. His lower extremities become weak. He cannot stand up and he was unable to walk. After hospitalization treatment given to patient after few days he was discharged. He referred to nutritional support. A team gives him medical therapy. After labs and blood tests, the result is obtained GBS positive. A significant result obtained than it would be treated. GBS is very rare disease. The diagnosis is very difficult. In this condition the patient progressively weak their extremities. The disorder in limbs weakness increase day by day.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) based intervention on resilience and burnout variables among staff nurses working in critical care department of the healthcare setting. Background: In the healthcare setting, emergency department is extremely risky unit where atmosphere frequently becomes unpredictable. In this environment emergency staff nurses most of the time taking persistent stress effect on mental well-being which lead to exhaustion. In critical care department’s nurses have potentially affected by anxiety due to stressful environment and workload which is the leading factor of negative outcome and result in burnout. Cognitive behavior therapy-based intervention (CBT) is one of the effective intervention to decrease self-reported burnout, as well as increased resilience Methods: A convenient sampling technique was performed collecting the demographic data and information during the face to face interview of 50 working nurse’s staff. The educational interventions, consisted of 08 manualized weekly 60-minute sessions. Data were collected at baseline and after intervention that measured stress, depressive symptoms, anxiety, healthy lifestyle beliefs and behaviors, and job satisfaction. Simple descriptive, paired sample T-test and Wilcoxon signed Rank test was applied for data analysis. Results: The intervention group scored significantly better with moderate to large positive effects on the burnout and resilience variables as well as healthy lifestyle behaviors after the 08 weeks of interventional sessions. Conclusions: The CBT including direct educational sessions has excellent potential as evidence-based interventions for improving the mental health, healthy lifestyle beliefs and behaviors related to job satisfaction in working staff nurses of emergency department. Nurses are the leading healthcare professionals that play a vital role in providing health care facilities based on research findings for positive patient outcomes. The application of research findings is compulsory in nursing practice but considerable amount of barriers could hinder nurses to implement research outcomes in practice. Therefore, to boost research utilization and change current nursing practices the current study observed the obstacles to utilization of research findings in clinical practices within the nursing culture of Pakistan. A descriptive cross sectional study including 76 nurses from Pakistan through convenient sampling technique was conducted. Out of 76 nurses, 69 (87%) were females and 7 (9%) were male nurses working in medicine, surgery, medical specialty, and critical care departments. Majority of the participants belong to age 31-35 years (50%) and 25-30 years (30%) while remaining 20% from age group 36-50 years. The top four barriers were “Inadequate time to implement new ideas”, “non-cooperation of colleagues”, “The unwillingness of nurses to accept change”, “and “Research articles are not published fast”. Conclusion: The results of the present study highlight the main barriers to research utilization among Pakistani nurses. Most of the barriers experienced by Pakistani nurses are related to those explored by other countries’ nurses. Keywords: Research utilization, Perceived barriers, Nurses, Nursing practice
The Aspergillosis of the Paranasal sinuses is a well-recognized form of fungal infection, the involvement of the pituitary gland by aspergillosis is extremely rare. In which the main pathogen of the fungal seller is aspergillus classes. The pituitary infectious fungi consisted of different groups and dimorphic fungi. The leading pathogen of fungal seller abscess is the type of aspergillus. The possible route of infection through sphenoid sinus with a thin seller roof. A pituitary tumor differentiates through its size. Pituitary tumors undesirably are known to grow in the sphenoid bone, cavernous sinus, mid-nasal ductus, and left cerebral hemisphere. In our case presentation patient presented with pituitary macroadenoma, which diagnosed through magnetic resonance imaging. Presented with nasal mass, and acromegaly features headache. Right eye vision loss. Through endoscopy, biopsy report shows the nasal fungal infection. Surgical treatment, the trans-sphenoidal procedure will be planned as recommended in literature reviews.
Traditionally, Nursing students study human bioscience e.g. pathophysiology, microbiology, anatomy and physiology in their first and second year course. Nursing students are facing difficulties with bioscience learning. Hence, it’s essential for nursing students to keep in mind that bioscience understanding is very important throughout the research, and clinical practice. The PURPOSE of this study was to assess BSN students’ experiences regarding bioscience subject’s background and nursing education. A cross-sectional analytic study was done among 183 BSN (Generic) students February 2018 to May 2018. Convenient sampling technique was used to collect the required sample size. Data on individual characteristics of Bioscience learning experiences was collected by distributing semi-structured questionnaire. Statistical tool SPSS 21.0 was used for the analysis of collected data. Person correlation test used to determine the relationship between variables. In this study majority of BSN (Generic) students were considered bioscience subjects more challenging and time consuming. About 45.36% participants were agreed with there is more content required for bioscience compared with nursing subjects. BSN students (59.56%) were reported that bioscience related to nursing practice to gain better understanding for assessment. Majority of participants were reported that bioscience subjects more difficult as compared to nursing subjects. Bioscience relationship with nursing practices significantly correlated with clinical-relevant employment. In this type of research the area of improvement have been reviewed further knowledge available for those who will conduct the research on this topic in future.Int. J. Soc. Sc. Manage.
