Objective: To systematize nursing care to an infant with West Syndrome, using the Nomenclature of Diagnoses / Results and Nursing Interventions. Methods: Descriptive study, a case study, conducted at a School Hospital in João Pessoa / Paraíba in October 2010, following the phases of the nursing process. Diagnoses were identified using the Nomenclature of Diagnoses / Results and Nursing Interventions developed and validated for said hospital according to CIPE® terms. The project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the hospital under CAAE: 0052.0.126.000-09. Results: Six nursing diagnoses were identified: neuropsychomotor impairment, seizure, impaired oral hygiene, altered respiratory pattern, risk of infection, altered family routine. Conclusion: The use of a nomenclature of diagnoses / results and interventions directs the actions of nursing, providing efficiency in the care of children with West syndrome
Objective: This is an integrative review of the literature that aimed to characterize the scientific production of the last ten years of management and management of nursing care in primary care and describe the practice of this management. The search of the material took place in May and June 2014 in the databases SCIE-LO, LACHC and MEDLINE NDB considering the terms: Management; care management; Health Management; Nursing and Primary Health Care, so that 16 articles were included in the sample selected. The characterization of the studies pointed out the year 2010 with the largest quantity of sample publications; the Cuban Journal of Enfermería was the one that got more than one publication; 10 studies are presented in Portuguese, three in English and three in Spanish. Three themes were highlighted for discussion: management practice and management of nursing care in Primary Care; Skills and nursing skills; and Challenges faced. We emphasize the importance of managerial activities of the nursing organization and qualification of care and transformation of health in primary care, demonstrating is necessary to build quality indicators; democratization of organizational behavior; systematization of assistance; best training and continuing education of professionals.
Objective: to identify how health education actions performed by the nursing professional contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of patients with heart failure. Method:Integrative review built from the following question: What contributions of the nurse in the health education of patients with heart failure? Made in the PUBMED, LILACS and SciELO Virtual Library databases. The studies were analyzed and presented in a descriptive and table format.Results: 8 studies were the sample. It was possible to identify that the actions of health education developed by nurses to patients with heart failure provide integration of the patients with the family, behavior change and acquisition of healthy habits.
Objetivo: compreender como as tecnologias da informação e comunicação influenciam o processo de tomada de decisão de enfermeiros gestores em um hospital universitário. Método: trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, descritivo, realizado com nove enfermeiros gestores das unidades assistenciais de um hospital de ensino, por meio de entrevista semiestruturada. Submeteram-se os dados à Análise de Conteúdo Temática. Resultados: informa-se que emergiram duas categorias, “Descrevendo o uso do AGHU” e “Sugestões de melhorias para o uso do AGHU”, e os gestores demonstraram possuir pouca qualificação no uso de Sistemas de Informação, apresentaram dificuldades quanto à implantação do sistema utilizado e acesso à internet. Conclusão: conclui-se que o sistema AGHU, da forma como se encontra estruturado, não está sendo utilizado de maneira coesa, tendo repercussão negativa na qualidade dos serviços prestados à gestão de saúde.
Objective: identifying the scientific literature about the use of health information systems, their weaknesses and potential for decision-making. Method: A systematic literature review study conducted in September/October 2014. The sample consisted of 13 articles published in the databases: LiLLACS, SciELO, PubMed, Cochrane. Results: There was a small number of publications about the subject; it was pointed out as weaknesses for use of the systems: unpreparedness of the professionals, lack of training, poor access to systems; and how potential: characterization of the population profile, epidemiological, people's living conditions, etc. Conclusion: The health information systems provide great potential for decision-making and must overcome difficulties to use, being necessary to carry out more studies about the subject.
Objectives: To analyze public and private institutions that use risk management; investigate the strategies that these hospitals adopt for patient and professional safety and identify the positive and negative aspects that imply the risk management in the hospitals surveyed. Method:A descriptive study, quanti-qualitative, developed in eight hospitals in the public and private network of João Pessoa -PB. The sample was represented by eight professionals responsible for risk management in the participating institutions. Data were collected from February to March 2016. The data were collected and analyzed using simple descriptive statistics.Results: It was observed that public hospitals have adopted a strategy of use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), professional development courses participations and the development of actions of epidemiological surveillance; and that private hospitals are limited to the PPE use and information about biosecurity procedures for patients and professionals.
Introduction: prenatal care comprises a set of care aimed at preserving the health of pregnant women and the fetus, intervening at an early stage in risk situations. The SiSprenatal was created to over see the actions scheduled for pHpN and facilitate the transfer of funds. However, the high rates of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality are still a challenge to public health.Objective: Investigating, in national literature, the use of SiSprenatal in assessing the health care of pregnant women in the Family Health Strategy.

Objective: The study aimed to identify the occupational hazards to which workers are exposed in nursing working in immunization room of the family health strategy of the municipality of Conde-Paraíba. Methods:This was an exploratory study, descriptive and qualitative.The survey was conducted in basic health units of the municipality of Conde-PB, using a semi-structured interview script, as a tool for data collection, with objective and subjective questions that addressed the topic. Have been followed all ethical and legal precepts of research involving humans.
