Nadolol is a blocking agent with activity in β-adrenergic receptors. The objective of this research was to develop and validate an HPLC and circular dichroism method for the quantification of four nadolol stereoisomers in capsules. The HPLC method was validated using a Chiralcel OD column (250 × 4,6 mm, 10 μm). The mobile phase consisted of hexane-ethanol-diethylamine-acetic acid (86 + 14 + 0.3 + 0.3, v/v/v/v), with a flow rate of 0.7 mL/min and temperature of 25 ± 1°C and UV detection carried out at 220 nm. Solutions were prepared in ethanol containing 200 μg/mL nadolol. The method proved to be precise, selective, accurate, and robust and was successfully applied for the determination of the two homologs of four nadolol stereoisomers in capsules.
Abamectin is a drug with antiparasitic properties used in several pharmaceutical formulations. The objective of this research was to develop and validate a high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method for quantification of the two abamectin homologs (H 2 B 1a and H 2 B 1b) in gel formulation. This HPLC method was validated using a LichroCart ® 100 RP-18 (125 x 4 mm, 5 µm) column. The mobile phase contained of acetonitrile and water (95:5 v/v) with 1% acetic acid. The flow rate was 1.0 mL min-1 and UV detection was performed at 245 nm. Mobile phase solutions were prepared containing a nominal concentration 185.2 µg mL-1 H 2 B 1a and 9.6 µg mL-1 H 2 B 1b. The method displayed good linearity in the concentration range of 148.1-222.3 µg mL-1 and 7.7-11.5 µg mL-1 , for H 2 B 1a and H 2 B 1b , respectively, with a correlation coefficient of (r)> 0.99 for both compounds, calculated by the least mean squares method. Detection limits (DLs) were 2.8 µg mL-1 and 1.2 µg mL-1 and quantitation limits (QLs) were 8.6 µg mL-1 and 3.8 µg mL-1 , for H 2 B 1a and H 2 B 1b , respectively. The method is simple, economical and efficient for the quantitative determination of abamectin H 2 B 1a and H 2 B 1b homologs in pharmaceutical preparations. A Química é uma ciência que possui abordagem teórica, técnica e experimental, portanto, podemos considerá-la complexa para o aluno compreendê-la na sua totalidade sem a realização de aulas práticas. Atualmente um dos grandes desafios no ensino de química é a construção de um elo entre o saber escolar e o cotidiano dos alunos. Essa pesquisa buscou realizar uma atividade de forma planejada com os diferentes envolvidos com os laboratórios de ensino de química de uma instituição federal de ensino do estado do Rio de Janeiro. A metodologia utilizada foi o Planejamento Estratégico Situacional (PES) que serviu como instrumento para diagnóstico da realidade, identificação dos meios para viabilizar as transformações, realização de operações e ações e prazos para execução das atividades. O PES teve início com a discussão dos principais problemas relacionados ao setor, identificou-se a "falta de reagentes para as aulas práticas" como o principal problema. Os objetivos desta pesquisa foram: descrever a implementação de um plano de gerenciamento dos laboratórios didáticos de química como forma de garantir uma aprendizagem de qualidade aos alunos através da realização das aulas práticas e estimular a comunicação entre os envolvidos a fim de minimizar os problemas identificados. Com a implementação das operações e ações deste PES observou-se significativa melhora na comunicação entre os envolvidos: professores, técnicos e bolsistas, iniciando-se assim um processo de reestruturação das atividades executadas pelo setor com avanços significativos principalmente em relação à oferta das aulas práticas.

ABSTRACTChemistry is a science that has theoretical approach, technical and experimental, so we can consider it complex for the student to understand it in its entirety without conducting practical classes. Currently one of the major challenges in chemistry teaching is to build a link between school knowledge and the daily lives of students. This research sought to perform an activity in a planned manner with the various stakeholders with the chemistry teaching laboratories of a federal educational institution in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The methodology used was the Situational Strategic Planning (PES) that served as a tool for diagnosis of reality, identifying means for bringing about transformations, carry out operations and actions and timelines for implementation of activities. The PES began with the discussion of the main issues related to the sector, identified the "lack of reagents for practical classes" as the main problem. The objectives of this study were to describe the implementation of the teaching of chemistry laboratories management plan in order to ensure a quality learning to students by conducting the practical classes and stimulate communication among stakeholders in order to minimize the
