Stainless steel (SS) is successfully used in food industries due to the characteristics of its surface, which is essential for the maintenance of the properties of food. Tanks and stainless steel pipes, which come into direct contact with food and drink, undergo a process of cleaning and disinfecting called CIP (Clean-in-Place). This method consists of automatic recirculation of a detergent solution for a controlled time followed by a rinsing with water, and finally a cleaning and sanitizing solution immersion. This work consists of investigating the corrosion resistance of stainless steels used in the food industry using sanitizing solutions employed in the CIP procedure, and using electrochemical techniques such as potentiodynamic anodic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
Poliuretano. Resíduo. In this context the objective of this research is study the possibility of using the polyurethane residue from an automobile industry in the composition of an interlocked floor to build a sidewalk. The experiments involved in this research was the selection and characterization of the raw materials utilized, the preparation of interlocking floor test specimens, based in part on the technical standard ABNT NBR 6136. The floors production with the polyurethane waste contents crushed in the proportion of 10% 20% and 30%, replacing part of the sand. The obtained results were represented in tables demonstrating the water absorption determination and the compressive strength according to the standard ABNT NBR 9781.Keywords: Interlocking Floor, Polyurethane, Waste, Sustainability, Sidewalk
