Iatrogenic aortic trauma, mainly aortic dissection, can be a severe condition with significantly different features compared with the spontaneous forms. In addition, during recent years, surgical and interventional procedures have been expanded. Thus, aortic iatrogenic complications in those settings, although infrequent, are currently not rare. Due to its low incidence, our main data derive from small case reports and registries.
