Arguments, data and analysis included in this document represent authors' opinion not the Press or the University ResumenLa ausencia de ejercicio físico es un problema relacionado con la morbimortalidad poblacional que, según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (oms), se ha convertido en un "enemigo público de los habitantes del planeta". Este reporte de investigación da cuenta de un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental y fue llevado a cabo en 457 pacientes hipertensos. La información fue recolectada mediante un instrumento validado y diseñado por González. Además de las variables sociodemográficas, contiene identificación antropométrica, cifras tensionales y prácticas de ejercicio físico llevado a cabo. La toma de muestras se encuentra en el promedio de edad de 41 a 26 años, 45% hombres y 55% mujeres, el ejercicio físico lo practica el 14,30% (64) de los participantes, siendo las caminatas el más utilizado, con 6,39%. De la investigación se concluye que el ejercicio físico es una práctica saludable, pero con baja adherencia en pacientes hipertensos. Objetivo: Analizar la prevalencia y los factores asociados con los patrones espirométricos de trabajadores expuestos a sustancias químicas. Materiales y métodos: Estudio descriptivo correlacional, diseño no experimental, con abordaje cuantitativo, realizado en una muestra censal de 515 trabajadores expuestos a sustancias químicas laborales. La recolección de la información se realizó mediante pruebas espirométricas con equipos Spirolab III, previamente calibrado y siguiendo el protocolo convencional. El análisis estadístico se realizó con SPSS.25 utilizando medidas de tendencia central, de dispersión e índice de correlación de Pearson, para muestras paramétricas. Se respetaron los principios éticos para la investigación en humanos. Resultados: La prevalencia de alteraciones crónicas compatible con patrón obstructivo fue de 7,60% y restrictivo de 1,00%. Los factores con asociación positiva fueron la edad, el sexo, la exposición a sustancias químicas y el hábito de fumar. Conclusiones: Se encontró menor prevalencia que la descrita en otros estudios, además se identificó asociación con factores sociodemográficos, hábitos y laborales.
Introducción: Actualmente la relación hombre-trabajo, se encuentra limitada por condiciones de salud, que pueden agravarse frente a la exposición a factores de riesgo. Materiales y Métodos: Estudio descriptivo, transversal, diseño no experimental, enfoque cuantitativo, realizado en 1570 consultantes a ingreso laboral, realizado durante el período de octubre de 2019 a marzo de 2020 a nivel local; con una muestra probabilística de 1073, nivel de confianza de 98,00 % y margen de error del 2,00 %. Criterios de inclusión: solicitantes de consulta pre-empleo, mayores de edad, ambos sexos que aceptaron participar en el estudio; excluidos menores de edad, autorizados por el Ministerio de trabajo. La recolección de la información se realizó mediante evaluación médico-ocupacional y exámenes complementarios, utilizando equipos biomédicos calibrados y formatos validados por la Institución. El análisis de la información fue realizado con estadística descriptiva, a través de media, moda, desviación estándar, tablas y figuras. Se respetaron los principios éticos para investigación en humanos. Resultados: Edad promedio 32 años, edad mínima de 18 y máxima de 66 años, desviación estándar de 9,2. De los participantes 51,57% presentó antecedentes personales patológicos: 47,15% índice de masa corporal normal, seguido de sobrepeso; 11.00% e hipertensión arterial 1,95%. La prevalencia de restricciones y aplazamientos laborales fue de 12,86%, generadas principalmente por enfermedades cardiovasculares, visuales, osteomusculares y digestivas. Conclusiones: Las restricciones y aplazamientos para el ingreso al trabajo, guardan correspondencia con las enfermedades que se describen en las estadísticas vitales presentadas en el país y en el Departamento de Sucre.
