As mulheres negras experienciam, cotidianamente, situações de opressão, seja pelo preconceito e discriminação racial, seja pelo de gênero, o que as coloca em constante conflito e sofrimento psíquico. Diante disto, este ensaio pretende refletir sobre a possibilidade de as religiosidades afro-brasileiras, em destaque, o candomblé, se constituírem como um território promotor de saúde mental, uma vez que oferecem um repertório simbólico importante para a promoção de comportamentos resilientes diante das adversidades. Serão analisadas três narrativas míticas sobre a orixá Oxum, divindade dos rios e das cachoeiras, compreendendo-as como potenciadoras de capacidades e qualidades, que podem produzir novos sentidos e ações de resistência.
O Brasil é um país hibrido constituído através dos processos sociais e históricos entre as culturas religiosas afro-luso -americano. Americano, por sua posição geográfica e sua população indígena; lusitano, por ter sido colonizado pelos católicos portugueses; e africano, por ter aqui aportado os negros escravizados, em vários países africanos, que traziam consigo seus costumes, suas tradições e principalmente suas religiões e suas experiências religiosa. E fazer entender e compreender que estas experiências religiosas afro-brasileiras e indígenas são, também, manifestações do sagrado é um dos maiores desafios em prol da liberdade religiosa, para o fim do racismo e o reestabelecimento da tolerância entre os indivíduos segregados religiosamente. Assim, Grupo de trabalho tem por objetivo promover e fomentar um debate coeso sobre " Resistências religiosas afro-brasileiras e indígenas contra a intolerância e o racismo no Brasil "
Este artigo aborda a temática dasmemórias das práticas religiosas de matriz africana,principalmente o candomblé, assim com a participação das mulheres negras na preservação e construção dessas memórias. Vivemos em uma sociedade que desvaloriza e discrimina tanto as religiões afro como as mulheres negras. Por isso,torna-se de suma importância a valorizaçãoe a visibilização do protagonismo de mulheres negras em tais práticas, bem como de suas estratégias de resistência.
<p>Este artigo reflete um debate sobre a relação entre territórios negros, práticas<br />religiosas, construção da identidade da população negra e como as memórias<br />e representações sociais têm influência nesse processo. As práticas religiosas<br />de matriz africana estão diretamente relacionadas com os referenciais<br />identitários da população afrodescendente. Sabemos que essas práticas são<br />um grande e importante legado deixado pelos africanos no Brasil para seus<br />descendentes, no entanto as memórias dessas práticas estão sendo marcadas<br />pelo esquecimento e as representações sociais ancoradas com práticas<br />demoníacas relacionadas ao mal. Isso faz com que os praticantes não queiram<br />se identificar com essas manifestações e procurem um distanciamento,<br />enquanto os não praticantes os veem como pessoas que praticam ações que<br />causam prejuízos. O resultado são atitudes de intolerância e discriminação.</p>
