O exercício físico pode promover benefícios na funcionalidade do sistema venoso. Contudo, tratando-se de exercício com sobrecargas musculares, observa-se contraindicações quanto à sua prática diante da possibilidade da mesma estar relacionada ao agravamento das disfunções venosas. OBJETIVO: Analisar os efeitos da prática do exercício com sobrecargas musculares sobre o diâmetro venoso de mulheres fisicamente inativas portadoras de insuficiência venosa crônica de membros inferiores. MÉTODOS: Vinte e duas mulheres com idades entre 21 e 58 anos (34,27 ± 12 anos) foram divididas aleatoriamente em dois grupos: experimental (n = 12) e controle (n = 10). O treinamento com cargas foi realizado por 16 semanas, e o diâmetro venoso foi medido nas veias safenas magna (em nível da coxa e perna) e parva no membro inferior esquerdo por meio de ecodoppler colorido. Utilizou-se a ANOVA por dois fatores para avaliar as possíveis modificações dos diâmetros entre os grupos e ao longo do tempo (p < 0,05). RESULTADOS: Não foram encontradas alterações significativas nos diâmetros das veias safenas parva (porções superior, média e inferior: p = 0,80, 0,32 e 0,20, respectivamente), magna em nível da perna (p = 0,17, 0,74 e 0,96) e magna em nível da coxa (p = 0,57, 0,67 e 0,52). CONCLUSÃO: A prática do exercício com sobrecargas musculares pode ser considerada um meio de intervenção ou tratamento, uma vez que não promoveu alterações no diâmetro venoso de mulheres que apresentaram insuficiência venosa crônica nos membros inferiores.
Introdução: Freqüência Cardíaca (FC) e Pressão Arterial (PA) têm sido estudadas na predição do desempenho físico. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar o comportamento da FC e PA em diferentes cargas, no teste de banco Protocolo Cirilo. Metodologia: Trata-se de pesquisa aplicada, transversal, com 30 mulheres ativas, segundo normas do ACSM, com média de idade 22,8 + 2,8 anos, submetidas aos testes antropométricos, cardiorrespiratório em Banco Eletrônico de Cirilo e hemodinâmicos. Utilizou-se programa estatístico SPSS 13.0 para cálculos de média, desvio padrão, mínimo, máximo, coefi ciente de correlação "r" de Pearson, "t" de Student, Qui-quadrado de Friedman, com nível de signifi cância de 5%. Resultados: A FC fi nal defi niu o teste como submáximo. Os valores na carga de 4 minutos: FC máx 179,40+6,58 bpm; PAS, 132,00+13,04 mmHg; PAD, 61,00+11,40mmHg. A PA sistólica (PAS) da carga do 3ºmin, 136,00 + 11,40mmHg, e a PA diastólica (PAD) da carga de 1º min, 62,00 + 4,47 mmHg, foram maiores. O teste de Friedman teve p=0,05 para as cargas de FC, PAS e PAD do 1º ao 4º min e o "t" de Student entre a FC do 1º e 4º min. (p=0,003). Conclusões: O comportamento da FC e PA em diferentes cargas em teste de banco sob o Protocolo de Cirilo de forma progressiva com intervalos diários, apresentam-se diferentes de acordo com o tempo de execução do teste indicando que há alterações das variáveis hemodinâmicas, e a FC aumenta linearmente conforme a carga e a PAS e PAD variam entre o 1º e 4º min.Palavras-chave: Desempenho humano, hemodinâmica do sangue, Teste de esforço.
