Objetivo: estabelecer um protocolo para prevenção e intervenção em oclusão do PICC em paciente oncológico, com base nas análises da produção científica através de uma revisão da literatura publicada entre 2000 e 2016. Método: revisão integrativa. Este método de pesquisa permite a síntese de múltiplos estudos publicados e possibilita conclusões gerais a respeito de uma área particular de estudo. Resultados: a busca aos bancos de dados retornou 1234 artigos, aplicados os filtros estabelecidos na metodologia, sobraram 58. Desses 58, excluindo as repetições e aqueles que não apresentavam todo o artigo para consulta, foram aproveitadas e utilizadas 31 publicações. Conclusão: a aplicação futura do referido protocolo no cuidado oncológico poderá resultar na assistência de enfermagem de maior qualidade, redução de ocorrência de oclusão ou tratamento eficaz dessa oclusão com consequente redução/eliminação de perdas de PICC.
Este estudo visa compreender sob a ótica da equipe de enfermagem sobre o cuidado à mulher que sofre perda gestacional e identificar como a integralidade está inserida nesse contexto. Estudo descritivo, transversal, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado com 18 profissionais de enfermagem de um hospital de referência do Rio de janeiro – RJ, através de instrumento contendo questões subjetivas sobre conhecimentos, interpretações e práticas no cuidado integral e sua abordagem a mulheres que sofreram perda gestacional. Os dados foram analisados mediante utilização de Análise de Conteúdo. O material oriundo das entrevistas pôde ser dividido em quatro eixos de categorias: O sentido da perda gestacional no contexto do cuidado; A busca pela completude do olhar no cuidado integral à mulher; Fragilidades ao prestar o cuidado integral à mulher que sofre perda gestacional e Potencialidades vivenciadas no manejo do cuidado à mulher que sofre a perda. Após a análise foi possível conceber que a equipe de enfermagem conhece questões relacionadas à integralidade do cuidado às mulheres que sofrem perda gestacional. As categorias reforçam a significância do tema, mostrando que apesar das dificuldades, o ambiente hospitalar da maternidade é local propício, estratégico e imprescindível para a continuidade de um cuidado pleno dentro da Rede de Atenção à Saúde do Sistema Único de Saúde.
