RESUMO Objetivos: analisar a percepção de acadêmicos de Enfermagem em relação ao ensino sobre lesões por pressão durante seu curso de graduação; apreender sugestões dos estudantes para melhorar a aprendizagem sobre lesões por pressão. Método: trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória, de abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, com amostra não probabilística, de 37 acadêmicos, matriculados no décimo período do curso de enfermagem de Universidade Pública, no Nordeste do Brasil. Os dados foram analisados por meio do Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) versão 20.0 e da técnica de análise de conteúdo proposta por Bardin. Resultados: os acadêmicos apresentam certas limitações de conhecimentos sobre lesões por pressão, principalmente, sobre a classificação, prevenção, a escolha ideal para a cobertura das lesões e a utilização das escalas de predição, justificando tais limitações, entre outros fatores, a falta de aprofundamento da temática durante os estágios práticos e pelo fato da disciplina específica sobre o tema oferecido no Curso de Enfermagem ser optativa, não oportunizando a participação de todos os alunos. As sugestões dos acadêmicos para promover melhoria no processo ensino-aprendizagem sobre a lesão por pressão consistem, prioritariamente, em se converter a disciplina Avaliação e Tratamento de Feridas, de caráter optativo, em obrigatória, e de melhorar as oportunidades de conhecimentos práticos, durante os estágios das disciplinas que já compõem a grade curricular. Conclusão: constatou-se a necessidade de maiores reflexões acerca da construção de conhecimentos sobre feridas, de forma particular, da lesão por pressão, voltando-se o olhar para os componentes curriculares do curso de graduação em enfermagem, no cenário estudado.
Objetivo: analisar os registros de enfermagem, pertinentes à ocorrência, prevenção e tratamento de lesão por pressão, em prontuários de pacientes de uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Método: estudo documental, retrospectivo, de abordagem quantitativa, realizado em um hospital de ensino, no Nordeste brasileiro. A amostra foi composta por 46 prontuários. A coleta de dados ocorreu em janeiro de 2020, obtendo-se informações dos impressos de enfermagem, e registrando-as em formulário desenvolvido para o estudo. A análise ocorreu por meio de estatística descritiva, utilizando-se o programa Statistical Package for the Social Science, versão 24. Resultados: a prevalência de lesão por pressão foi de 31,82% e a incidência de 11,36%. Na admissão do paciente, a avaliação do risco para desenvolvimento de lesão por pressão não foi realizada (100%); e na avaliação da pele, a umidade (6,82%) foi o parâmetro menos avaliado, além de não haver registro de avaliação da turgescência. Houve destaque para o registro das ações para hidratação da pele e proteção de proeminências ósseas em todos os pacientes com e sem lesão por pressão; e o registro da mudança de decúbito foi superior entre os pacientes sem lesão por pressão (29,54%). Entre as medidas de tratamento, houve registro de cuidado com a lesão em 57,14% dos prontuários. Conclusão: os resultados podem sugerir questionamentos sobre falhas na realização de ações importantes no contexto assistencial e/ou nos seus registros.
