O presente artigo refere-se aos aspectos formativos que constituem as práticas pedagógicas de professores da Educação Básica participantes de uma Formação Continuada em Modelagem Matemática. Assumida sob a perspectiva fenomenológica de investigação, a pesquisa foi estabelecida a partir da análise dos discursos e das ações de onze professores em dois distintos contextos: os encontros da referida Formação e suas salas de aula. Os resultados evidenciaram a multidimensionalidade do processo de constituição das práticas pedagógicas dos professores e revelaram que suas necessidades formativas podem não ser atendidas por estratégias de formação exclusivamente teóricas e generalistas. Nesse sentido, é relevante que as práticas pedagógicas características dos professores sejam consideradas como orientadoras, uma vez que podem fornecer indicativos de encaminhamentos que contribuam para a adoção da Modelagem. A ideia é, portanto, que a aproximação à Modelagem seja iniciada com base na reflexão acerca da prática pedagógica dos professores e não apenas da teoria.
Resumo Repercute das pesquisas produzidas pela comunidade da Educação Matemática um discurso de incentivo voltado à adoção da Modelagem na escola. Embora esse discurso seja reconhecido, faz-se necessário trazer à clareza o que a comunidade busca expressar quando se refere à essa adoção. Assim, assumindo a atitude fenomenológica de investigação interrogamos: o que se mostra sobre a adoção da Modelagem Matemática na literatura produzida no âmbito da Educação Matemática? Essa interrogação levou-nos a considerar 109 pesquisas dirigidas à Modelagem, disponibilizadas no Catálogo de Dissertações de Teses da Comissão de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, no Google Acadêmico e na Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações. A análise delas revelou que recorrentes menções à adoção da Modelagem restringem-se aos aspectos favoráveis, desafios e procedimentos necessários ao trabalho com ela na escola, não havendo iniciativas que busquem entender a adoção focando aquele que é o sujeito passível de adotá-la, o professor.
Modelagem matemática (MM) na educação de jovens e adultos (EJA): contribuições a partir de um metaestudo 1 ResumoO número de publicações sobre a Educação Matemática de Jovens e Adultos ainda é tímido no país. Situação análoga pode ser atribuída quando diz respeito a pesquisas que relacionem o ensino da Matemática na Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) às tendências da Educação Matemática, no caso específico, a Modelagem Matemática. Esse cenário favorece iniciativas como a da metapesquisa que ora apresentamos, cuja intenção é responder: O que dizem os artigos publicados na Conferência Nacional sobre Modelagem na Educação Matemática, CNMEM, sobre Modelagem Matemática na EJA? Dessa forma, o presente estudo foi estabelecido sob a abordagem qualitativa de pesquisa, segundo uma visão fenomenológicohermenêutica. O material analisado é decorrente dos anais de cinco conferências. Os resultados revelaram, entre outros aspectos, que a Modelagem Matemática é uma tendência de ensino compatível com as necessidades dos estudantes da EJA e com a flexibilidade curricular dessa modalidade de ensino, além de mostrar a necessidade de maior disseminação de pesquisas com esse foco no Brasil.
A inserção de professores em grupos de estudos constituídos em contextos de formação em Modelagem Matemática é considerada na literatura como um dos aspectos centrais para a adoção dela à suas práticas pedagógicas. Interessados em ampliar nossas compreensões acerca dessa inserção sob a ótica dos professores, assumimos uma atitude fenomenológica de investigação e dirigimo-nos aos artigos de periódicos interrogando: O que se mostra nos artigos que discutem Formação de Professores em Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática, disponibilizados no Google Acadêmico e Portal da CAPES, sobre o sentido que os professores participantes atribuem aos grupos de estudo em que estão inseridos? Os resultados revelaram, entre outras coisas, que a construção de laços de amizade podem levar os professores a encarar o grupo como lócus de acolhimento e suporte para o trabalho com a Modelagem na escola. Além disso, a pesquisa revelou a importância de a formação em Modelagem valorizar iniciativas que busquem vencer o individualismo, respeitando e estimulando a individualidade dos professores, de tal modo que sejam capazes de refletir as experiências que vivenciam enquanto coletivo e que essas os motivem a ampliar a comunicação com os pares, a produzir academicamente e a enxergar a Modelagem como uma prática possível.
Este texto expõe compreensões sobre o problema filosófico da representação, tanto do ponto de vista da teoria clássica do conhecimento, quanto do ponto de vista fenomenológico, no primeiro caso, sendo tomado como vorstellung, e no segundo, como re-presentation. A discussão se dá em decorrência de o problema não ser enfrentado no âmbito da Modelagem na Educação Matemática, na qual a compreensão se alinha de modo naturalizado à concepção clássica. Explicitam-se, o quanto foi possível, diferenças entre as duas compreensões; efetuamos uma hermenêutica acerca dos termos correlatos à representação: realidade e modelo matemático; explicitam-se as compreensões de trabalhos de Modelagem na Educação Matemática que focaram o tema da realidade e correlatos; abrem-se interpretações concernentes aos desdobramentos de assumir uma posição fenomenológica do conhecimento para a Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática, em termos de ensino, aprendizagem, limitações da visão anterior, bem como indica-se a necessidade de revisar compreensões naturalizadas sobre os seus efeitos na Educação Matemática.
