ResumoO presente trabalho avaliou as atividades antinociceptiva e antiinflamatória do óleo essencial de cascas de Duguetia lanceolata. Para isto, foram realizados os testes de contorções abdominais induzidas por ácido acético; tempo da lambida da pata induzida por formalina; e edema de pata induzido por carragenina. O número de contorções abdominais (DE 50 No presente trabalho, os métodos de contorções abdominais, tempo de lambida da pata e edema de pata foram utilizados para avaliar as atividades antinociceptiva e antiinflamatória do óleo essencial de cascas de D. lanceolata.A Figura 1 mostra que o efeito desse óleo essencial sobre as contorções abdominais foi dependente da dose. O efeito antinociceptivo foi significativo a partir da dose de 10 mg/kg em relação ao controle (p < 0,05) e na dose 100 mg/ kg foi equivalente à indometacina (5 mg/kg), além de ser verificado 100% de inibição das contorções na dose de 200 mg/kg. Isso levou a uma dose efetiva (DE 50 ) de 21,79 mg/ kg (Tabela 1).A Tabela 2 mostra que o tempo da lambida da pata foi reduzido em ambas as fases de forma dependente da dose. Todas as doses administradas tiveram efeitos significativos (p < 0,05). A dose de 200 mg/kg inibiu 100% o tempo de lambida na 1ª fase, enquanto na 2ª fase essa inibição foi observada a partir de 100 mg/kg. A partir de 50 mg/kg, o efeito foi igual ou superior ao da morfina. Esses resultados confirmam o efeito antinociceptivo demonstradoRev.
