RESUMO -Entre as possibilidades de manejo de plantas daninhas, o método químico é o mais utilizado. No entanto, um possível problema apresentado por esse método é a deriva acidental. Assim, conhecer esse risco e como quantificar seu efeito na cultura é fundamental para que esses produtos sejam empregados corretamente no manejo de plantas daninhas. Este trabalho teve como objetivo estudar o efeito da deriva simulada de herbicidas, por meio de subdoses, no crescimento de mudas de dois clones de eucalipto, considerando-se a possibilidade de extensão de seu uso. Foram utilizados os herbicidas atrazine, nicossulfuron e tembotrione e as misturas formuladas foramsulfurom + iodossulfurom-metílico e fluazifop-p-butyl + fomesafen, aplicados nas doses correspondentes a 3, 6 e 12% da dose recomendada. Foi avaliada a porcentagem de intoxicação, altura, diâmetro do caule e massa de matéria seca da parte aérea. Os herbicidas afetaram o crescimento das plantas de eucalipto, limitando principalmente o incremento em massa de matéria seca da parte aérea. O risco de perdas de produtividade, caso haja intoxicação via deriva, é menor com atrazine, foramsulfurom + iodossulfurom-metílico e tembotrione e maior com fluazifop-p-butyl + fomesafen e nicossulfuron. Entre os produtos testados, o tembotrione é o que apresenta maior potencial para ser utilizado em áreas de eucalipto.Palavras-chave: Intoxicação de plantas, Deriva de herbicida e Espécie arbórea. GROWTH OF EUCALYPTUS CLONES SEEDLINGS SUBMITTED TO SIMULATED DRIFT OF DIFFERENT HERBICIDES
As características físicas e químicas do solo, além das condições climáticas, influenciam o comportamento de herbicidas aplicados em pré-emergência das plantas daninhas. Dessa forma, objetivou-se avaliar o efeito residual de sulfentrazone, isoxaflutole e oxyfluorfen em três solos. O ensaio foi conduzido em ambiente protegido e o delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados, com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos, para cada solo, foram dispostos em esquema fatorial 3 x 5, sendo três herbicidas e cinco épocas de semeadura após aplicação dos produtos. Os herbicidas sulfentrazone, oxyfluorfen e isoxaflutole foram aplicados nas doses de 0,5, 0,72 e 0,113 kg ha-1, respectivamente, sobre potes plásticos de 250 mL previamente preenchidos com os dois solos de textura argilosa e um de textura franco-arenosa. Posteriormente, procedeu-se à semeadura da espécie bioindicadora Sorghum bicolor de forma escalonada, aos 0, 15, 30, 45 e 60 dias após a aplicação (DAA). Uma testemunha sem herbicida foi semeada nas diferentes épocas para cada solo e usada como comparação nas avaliações. Aos 21 dias após a semeadura em cada época, realizaram-se avaliações de intoxicação e crescimento das plantas através da massa seca da parte aérea. As plantas de sorgo, no solo argiloso com 9,0 dag kg-1 de matéria orgânica (MO) submetido à aplicação de isoxaflutole, sulfentrazone e oxyfluorfen, produziram massa seca da parte aérea igual a 34, 20 e 40%, respectivamente, aos 60 DAA, em relação às plantas crescidas nesse solo sem aplicação do herbicida. No solo franco-arenoso, observou-se elevado efeito residual dos herbicidas sulfentrazone e oxyfluorfen e diminuição do efeito residual do isoxaflutole ao longo do tempo, com 80, 90 e 40% de controle aos 60 DAA, respectivamente. No solo argiloso com 4,4 dag kg-1 de MO, verificou-se que o herbicida isoxaflutole perdeu a eficácia de controle ao longo do tempo, diferentemente do oxyfluorfen, que apresentou controle praticamente constante em todas as épocas avaliadas, e do sulfentrazone, que mostrou elevado efeito residual ao longo do período avaliado. As características inerentes a cada herbicida, bem como as diferenças nos teores de matéria orgânica e de textura entre os solos, influenciam na persistência do sulfentrazone, isoxaflutole e oxyfluorfen no solo. Maior efeito residual de oxyfluorfen foi observado no solo franco-arenoso e de isoxaflutole no solo argiloso com alto teor de matéria orgânica. Já o sulfentrazone apresentou elevado efeito residual nos três solos estudados.
Hakamada (4) & Nairam Félix de Barros (5) RESUMOTem sido cada vez maior a preocupação das empresas do setor florestal em adotar práticas pautadas na conservação do solo e da água. Nesse sentido, este trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar o impacto do manejo dos resíduos da colheita, do preparo do solo e do uso de resíduos industriais, na fertilidade do solo e produtividade de eucalipto. O experimento foi iniciado após o corte raso de um plantio comercial de Eucalyptus grandis, onde os resíduos da colheita foram manejados (retirada de todo o resíduo; remoção da casca e dos galhos com diâmetro superior a 3,0 cm; e manutenção de todos os resíduos na superfície do solo). Em seguida, realizaram-se o preparo do solo (com subsolador de uma e três hastes), a aplicação dos resíduos industriais (resíduo de celulose e cinzas) na superfície do solo e o plantio de mudas de Eucalyptus grandis x E. urophylla. Foi utilizado o delineamento em blocos ao acaso, contendo oito tratamentos e quatro repetições. Os tratamentos consistiram da combinação dos diferentes tipos de manejo dos resíduos da colheita, preparo do solo e aplicação dos resíduos industriais. Cada parcela experimental foi composta por cinco linhas com 19 plantas cada. Aos 83 meses após o plantio, foram medidos o DAP (diâmetro à altura do peito) e a altura das árvores, para cálculo do volume de madeira. A fertilização e a manutenção dos resíduos da colheita florestal elevaram os teores de Ca 2+ e Mg 2+ trocáveis no solo. A manutenção total dos resíduos vegetais na área após a colheita resultou em aumento de 71,7 m 3 ha -1 de madeira, quando comparado à remoção de todos os resíduos. Não houve diferença entre os modos de preparo do solo com subsolador de uma e três hastes, quanto ao volume de madeira.
