Durante la pandemia de covid-19 en Argentina, el trabajo del sector salud se vio transformado, adecuándose de manera espontánea a las necesidades y exigencias de una emergencia epidemiológica. Se produce un aumento de la demanda de personal, se intensifica el trabajo y se despliegan nuevas estrategias, protocolos y normativas de cuidado. En este artículo presentamos algunos resultados del análisis de entrevistas realizadas a enfermeras y enfermeros sobre sus experiencias de trabajo en hospitales generales del sur del conurbano bonaerense. El objetivo es dar cuenta de los dilemas éticos que enfrenta el personal de enfermería durante la pandemia con el fin de visibilizar dificultades y posibles líneas de trabajo futuro en torno a la formación y las condiciones de trabajo del sector.
El artículo explora cómo es reconfigurada la relación entre saber biomédico y familia en dos obras contemporáneas de teatro y literatura: la pieza Chimera, de las estadounidenses Deborah Stein y Suli Holum, y la novela El desbarrancadero, del colombiano Fernando Vallejo. Mediante la inserción del análisis de los procedimientos verbales, visuales e interpretativos de la obra y la novela en una serie de coordenadas históricas continentales, se indaga los marcos culturales que condicionan las decisiones sobre el tratamiento de los cuerpos y las diferentes formas de cuidado que se desarrollan alrededor suyo, así como el modo en que pueden afectarlos las palabras y las imágenes. A partir de esa investigación, se sostiene que la capacidad literaria y artística de “interferir” sobre estructuras de parentesco y discursos de autoridad hace posible inventar nuevas formas de acompañamiento para quienes sufren.
El artículo se dirige a los poemarios Cleofé de María Teresa Andruetto y 136 Suite de Virna Teixeira para reflexionar acerca de las posibilidades de experimentación de la palabra en el acompañamiento de la aflicción psíquica o la experiencia de la locura. Posicionando la lectura de los textos ante interrogantes y trayectorias abiertas en los estudios literarios, pero también entre debates sociales alrededor de las expectativas y las amenazas que albergan los vínculos de cuidado en la familia o el hospital, el trabajo indaga las operaciones de la escritura sobre y junto a la voz de otres. Así da con procedimientos divergentes en los que la diferenciación o la desdiferenciación de las voces constituyen gestos éticos con distintas inflexiones, y en los que la palabra permite escandir, construir, criticar y modular formas distintas de acompañamiento, que tensionan distintas formas de poder (psiquiátrico, colonial, patriarcal). En la hospitalidad a la palabra ajena se dirime la suspensión de dominaciones y explotaciones, incluida la apropiación literaria de la locura como un valor ornamental, peligro que compromete tanto a las escrituras poéticas o narrativas como al propio discurso crítico-teórico.
