An LED timer device increased blink frequency for DE and control groups. Further studies need to be carried out in order to evaluate long-term effects of this new device, as well as its assessment with different reading scenarios.

Twelve months postoperatively, the BSCVA improved significantly, the lines of vision increased, and astigmatism, corneal best-fit sphere, mean keratometry, corneal thickness, corneal root mean square total, and corneal spherical aberrations decreased. TG-PRK with MMC is a good alternative for correcting post-PKP cases with irregular astigmatism with elevated higher-order aberrations.

We concluded that injection of fourth-generation fluoroquinolones in the aqueous humor did not adversely affect the corneal endothelium. However, these results suggested that prophylactic intracameral injection of besifloxacin, gatifloxacin, or moxifloxacin, if needed, should be administered as a last therapeutic resource in clinical practice, with careful and constant monitoring of corneal endothelium.
