Utilizando como aporte teórico as questões propostas por Roger Chartier, sobre as práticas e as representações das culturas e das problematizações estabelecidas nos estudos culturais, sobre identidades e processos de identificação, este artigo discute, introdutoriamente, como as mulheres negras que atuavam no comércio de rua em Salvador tornaram-se ícones culturais na Bahia.

Neste sentido, este texto discute aspectos da história desta prática cultural religiosa através do trinômio ludicidade, fé e Festa, elementos estruturantes que ancoram e dão sentido às manifestações de fé em Salvador. ABSTRACTThe article discusses how as a result of the invention of worship to the Lord of Bonfim Salvador and increased popular participation in the context of the celebrations this Saint, the faith demonstration practices born inside the church won the public square, the square of the Basilica where a multitude of believers there are continuing their praise of the Lord of Bonfim. In the aspect, this paper discusses aspects of the history of this religious cultural practice through the triad playfulness, faith and Party, structural elements that anchor and give meaning to expressions of faith in the Salvador.
Este artigo discute as possíveis relações entre história e literatura, neste texto entendido como entretextualidades. Para tanto, busca estabelecer aproximações entre os tipos de narrativa do texto literário e jornalístico tomando-se como fonte e referência os textos Suor (1934) e Capitães da Areia (1937) do literato baiano Jorge Amado confrontando-os ou estabelecendo conexões entre estes dois textos com os do Jornal A Tarde, todos pensados no contexto histórico da década de 1930, quando o então denominado romance-histórico, fez emergir os sujeitos do cotidiano, outrora, postos à margem das narrativas literárias.
