Background: Hypertension is one of the leading causes of death for cases of non-communicable diseases in Indonesia. Basic Health Research in 2018 by the ministry of health of the republic of Indonesia found the number of non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, stroke and diabetes mellitus has increased compared to revious research. The aim of this study was to determine the factors associated with the occurrence of hypertension in the Talaud Islands Regency. Methods: This is a survey research using cross sectional method, the instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The number of samples are 100 people with purposive sampling technique. Results: The results of the chi square analysis show that gender does not associate with the occurrence of hypertension (p value 0.641), age has no association with the occurrence of hypertension (p value 0.641), obesity and hypertension showed that there was a significant association (p value 0.033), family history and hypertension were associated (p value 0.033), no association between smoking and hypertension (p value 0.582), consumption of risky food do not have an association with the occurrence of hypertension (p value 0.612), there is no association between physical activity and the occurrence of hypertension (p value 0.641), alcohol consumtion and hypertension were associated (p value 0.024), stress has no association with the occurrence of hypertension (p value 0.083).Conclusions: Factors associated with hypertension in the Talaud Islands Regency are obesity, family history of hypertension and alcohol consumption.
Background: The community's need for health services encourages health care facilities to always provide quality services. The implementation of health service quality assurance will not only have an impact on the organization, but also satisfaction for existing resources within the organization because of patient satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the dimensions of the quality of health services with the satisfaction of hypertension patients at the Adow public health center, central Pinolosian Sub District, South Bolaang Mongondow Regency.Methods: This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of hypertensive patients at Adow health center with a total sample of 100 patients who were taken using the purposive sampling technique.Results: Univariate analysis on the quality of health services found 67% of respondents stated that the dimensions of tangible were good, 50% of patients stated that the dimensions of reliability were good, 88% of patients stated that responsiveness was good, 72% of patients stated that the dimensions of assurance were good and 92% The patient stated that the empathy dimension was good. The results of the bivariate analysis proved the correlation between the dimensions of physical evidence-satisfaction of hypertensive patients (p=0.000), the dimensions of reliability-satisfaction of hypertensive patients (p=0.000), dimensions of responsiveness-patient satisfaction (p value 0.000), assurance-patient satisfaction (p=0.002) and empathy-patient satisfaction (p=0.017)Conclusions: The quality of health services for hypertensive patients at the Adow community health center based on an assessment of the dimensions of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy is included in the good category. There is 53% of patients expressed their satisfaction with the services provided by the Adow community health center. In addition, this study has proven that there is a relationship between physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy with the satisfaction of hypertensive patients at the Adow community health center.
Perawat klinik di RSBB terdiri dari pegawai tetap dan pegawai kontrak. Pengembangan karir yang selama ini dilaksanakan di RSBB berdasarkan masa kerja dan pelatihan yang diikuti oleh perawat belum dilaksanakan sesuai dengan jenjang karir profesional perawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengembangan karir perawat klinik di rumah sakit Baptis Batu (RSBB) dan menyusun rancangan pengembangan karir profesional perawat di rumah sakit Baptis Batu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan selama bulan Oktober-November 2013. Data diperoleh dengan wawancara dan focus group discussion (FGD) dengan Direktur rumah sakit, manajer sumber daya manusia, kepala komite keperawatan, manajer keperawatan, kepala-kepala ruangan dan perwakilan perawat di unit rawat inap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar perawat (96,7%) memiliki latar belakang pendidikan DIII keperawatan, belum terdapat pola khusus dalam pelaksanaan recruitment, rotasi dan promosi perawat. Rancangan jenjang karir profesional perawat di RSBB disusun berdasarkan latar belakang pendidikan, masa kerja dan uji kompetensi. Dari setiap level jenjang karir, perawat akan dibagi dalam kategori perawat junior, middle dan senior dan diikuti dengan pemberian penghargaan berupa remunerasi.
Hand washing soap is one of the sanitary measures taken to remove germs and bacteria that adhere to the hands. Nowadays, there are still many Indonesian children who die from diarrhea. According to the Family Health Director of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, every year as many as 1.7 million children die from diarrhea. In Bolaang Mongondow district, the number of diarrhea cases was 299 cases and was ranked second out of 10 prominent diseases in Bolaang Mongondow District. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of hand washing soap with hand washing attitude in students of SMP Negeri 9 Dumoga, Bolaang Mongondow District. This research is an analytic survey research with cross sectional study. The population is students on grade IX, the sample is the total population of 41 students. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis and correlation using the Chi Square Test. Most respondents had good knowledge (78%) on washing hands with soap and most respondents (95.1%) had a good attitude about washing hands with soap. There is a relationship between students' knowledge about washing hands with soap with students' attitudes about washing hands with soap with p value of 0.005 (<0.05). There is a relationship between between knowledge of hand washing soap with hand washing attitude in students of SMP Negeri 9 Dumoga.
