This article analyzed the learning experience of students at home during the school closing period in response to the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Through this study, an in-depth understanding of the life experiences, perceptions, and motivation of students were obtained from either the school or their parents. These outputs would be input into policy making and solving learning problems towards a new normal era. Now the school closures have been running for almost seven months and it almost about to reopening this mid-August 2020. To understand this phenomenon issue, some data searching have been performed ranging from daily papers, academic journal, and educational related literature. The data search then analyzed under the phenomenological application approach. Compiling the existing data and students voices, this study showed that the students learning experiences during six month learning from home responding the national policy stopping the corona virus spreading can be reported based on 10 websites visited have expressed their best coverage over students learning difficulty and challenge from different perspectives. Most websites mentioned students hardship in learning from home caused the lack of learning resources such not access to internet and parents ability to support their children learning. This study aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of why foreign language teaching, especially English, believes in using digital trend applications to improve learning effectiveness and evaluation validity in the perspective of current opportunities and challenges. So, for this purpose, the step we take is to examine hundreds of scientific reports on teaching English in many international contexts to answer the questions above with valid and reliable principles. Because Indonesia is currently in the process of implementing restrictions on public movements to respond to Covid-19, we have decided that this study will depend on secondary data through a Google search engine on scientific journals such as Willey, Taylor & France, Google Book, ERIC, Sagepub, and other international journals. Our data is analyzed with an unusual approach: coding, evaluation, interpretation, and drawing of results that answer the problem of the study. Discussing the results, we found that teaching English believes in digital applications to improve teaching and evaluation effectiveness because these applications have proven to be very innovative and effective in increasing the world's productivity globally. Hopefully, this finding helps develop future teaching studies.
This study examined ten sustainable business strategies that more experts have advised use running a business in the new normal era. Many findings went publication on a variety of profitable business strategies. However, very little has discussed in a balanced proportion between gaining profitable business and design with high sustainable value. Conditionally, running a business requires a variety of strategic approaches that are sustainable following the policy of the COVID-19 protocol. Understanding which strategies align with the above expectations, we have conducted a series of online literature studies using qualitative methods based on a phenomenological approach. Then, they were analyzed using the conceptual framework of higher education research skills. Through this process, the authors ensured that these findings are valid and reliable. Finally, we summarized ten relevant, sustainable business strategies that are relevant to be applied in the new normal business era in Indonesia. They include continuity strategy, business to business, opportunity strategy, rethinking, lesson learned strategies, working from home, affected policies, new thinking patterns, flexibility strategies, and understanding of new processes. Therefore, these findings will provide profound insight for business people and academicians to work on business practices' sustainability to facing the pandemic disruption.
Orang tua merupakan madrasah awal dan utama bagi anak-anak. Tanpa orang tua anak tidak bisa mendapatkan pendidikan yang layak. Dibutuhkan bimbingan dan pengawasan yang teratur karena kehidupan anak merupakan tanggung jawab orang tua. Adanya kebijakan stay at home dengan melakukan kerja, ibadah, dan belajar di rumah yang diambil oleh pemerintah, dalam rangka memutus mata rantai penularan Covid-19. Hal ini mengharuskan anak-anak usia sekolah belajar di rumah, disadari atau tidak telah mengembalikan tugas dan tanggung jawab orang tua dalam melakukan pendidikan bagi anak-anaknya. Berdasarkan penelitian tentang peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak ditengah pandemi covid-19yang dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi bahwa peran yang dilakukan orang tua dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak di tengah pandemi covid -19 yaitu orang tua sebagai panutan, orang tua sebagai fasilitator anak, dan orang tua sebagai motivator anak, adapun bentuk motivator yang dapat diberikan oleh orang tua kepada anak adalah perhatian, hadiah, penghargaan, pujian, dan hukuman. Berdasarkan analisis data yang disimpulkan bahwa peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak di tengah pandemi covid- 19 adalah baik. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari wawancara dan observasi bahwa peran orang tua sudah direalisasikan secara baik oleh orang tua di Kelurahan Tembilahan Kota Indragiri Hilir Riau.
Tujuan dari pendidikan nasional salah satunya yaitu untuk mengembangkan potensi peserta didik melalui tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran. Salah satu penunjang dari tujuan tersebut adalah adanya sarana dan prasarana dalam pendidikan tersebut. Perpustakaan merupakan salah satu sarana dan prasarana terdapat di dalamnya. Perpustakaan sebagai salah satu komponen dalam sistem pendidikan yang merupakan pusat sumber belajar bagi penyelenggaran pendidikan yang bertujuan mendukung proses belajar mengajar atau pembelajaran mandiri. Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 43 Tahun 2007 Pasal 23 ditetapkan bahwa setiap lembaga pendidikan menyelenggarakan perpustakaan yang memenuhi standar nasional dengan memperhatikan standar nasional pendidikan.
