Este trabalho tem por objetivo estudar a dinâmica caótica das ondas de Alfvén no vento solar. Este estudo é realizado em duas partes. Na primeira, motivado pelas observações simultâneas de ondas de Langmuir e ondas eletromagnéticas de baixa freqüência em buracos magnéticos no vento solar, propomos uma teoria baseada no processo de interação não-linear que envolve três ondas. Usamos o método de Poincaré para caraterizar a intermitência Pomeau-Manneville e mostrar dois exemplos de crise interior produzidos pela colisão de órbitas periódicas instáveis com o atrator caótico. Na segunda parte, a dinâmica caótica das ondas de Alfvén é modelada, num sistema dissipativo na presença de uma fonte periódica externa, através da Equação Schrödinger Não-linear Derivativa (DNLS). Resolvendo a DNLS numericamente no limite de baixa dimensão, auxiliado novamente pelo método de Poincaré, identificamos dois tipos de intermitência: intermitência Pomeau-Manneville e intermitência induzida pela crise interior. Identificamos uma região complexa associada à coexistência de vários atratores. Esta região apresenta vários exemplos de crise de contorno, devido a tangência homoclínica. Discutimos a aplicação de caos Alfvênico para a interpretação das observações de turbulência Alfvênica no vento solar. A diminuição da camada de ozônio é um fato que preocupa à comunidade científica dedicada ao estudo dos fenômenos atmosféricos. Existe uma diminuição global numa taxa variável de acordo com a latitude, e outros fatores mas em geral estima-se que o ozônio está diminuindo numa taxa de 4 a 5% por década. Além da diminuição global existe uma dramática redução do ozônio estratosférico durante cada primavera na região Antártica, chamado "buraco de ozônio Antártico". Durante este fenômeno, o ozônio em certas alturas é destruído quase totalmente. O ozônio cumpre com a importante missão de filtrar os raios solares de energia na faixa ultravioleta-B, os mais danosos para os organismos vivos.
