Through the time, tourism has suffered changes in its different ways of migration. In the past century, in the 1970's, a new type of tourism strengthened, mainly in Spain, which was named tourism of second homes. In Brazil, associated with traditional tourism, this residential tourism was consolidated in the Northeast Coast, from the 1990's, giving rise to the tourist real estate complex. In this context, this research aimed at mapping these tourist real estate complex and discussing about evidences of this model in that region. Data were collected through a field and documental research. From this study, it was verified that more than 50% of those of the 53 identified tourist real estate complex belong to foreigner groups, where many of them were embargoed, not finished or are even being built. It was concluded that every Brazilian northeast State has at least one mega project of this type operating, being concluded or designed, in contrast to the environmental discourse of these projects, besides the social segregation and appropriation of space, typical from this kind of activity.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of time pressure on tourists or visitors interested in visiting the destinations of Aracaju/Sergipe (SE) and Salvador/Bahia (BA), when accessing information about tourist attractions. To achieve the proposed objective, a quantitative study was carried out using the experimental method, considering two situations. In Situation 1, the participants were asked to use TripAdvisor for five minutes, to look for information about attractions. In Situation 2, they were asked to access a specially developed and customized application, without any time limit. To carry out the experiment, a scale of “intention to visit the destination” was elaborated and validated, considering the motivational variables of the model proposed by Swarbrooke & Horner (2016) and Schwartz’s (1994) theory of basic values. Two hundred fifteen interviews were conducted in the city of Aracaju and two hundred forty in the city of Salvador, considering a non-probabilistic sample. It was observed that for the participants in Aracaju, tourist attractions related to the Value Hedonism were influenced by time pressure. For the participants in Salvador, the variables that stood out were the Values Tradition and Security.
Monitoring projects at Higher Education Institutions attempt to contribute toward a better teaching‑learning process in that they provide for academic cooperation. Through active methodologies, where the teacher is no more the instigator of the content centraliser, but rather the student, this is quite possible. The aim of the study was to analyse how the active methodologies proposed by the Project “Active Methodologies in Tourism and Hospitality Graduation Courses”, at the UFPB have been accepted by student teachers, that is, course monitors. A questionnaire was applied to 27 monitors, from June through July, 2020. The research collected the ratio between monitors and students, between monitors and the course, between self‑managing career students and monitoring in the student’s reality. The conclusion is that active method‑ ologies with more dynamic teaching‑learning processes give better results. From the monitors’ perspectives, they are stimulating teaching practices which put the learning process in the hands of the students.
