O dia 24 de julho de 2021 foi marcado por manifestações contra o governo do presidente Jair Bolsonaro, pelo auxílio emergencial durante a pandemia e em defesa da vacinação da população brasileira contra a COVID-19. Os protestos, que aconteceram em mais de 120 cidades, chamaram a atenção pelo que ocorreu na cidade de São Paulo: um grupo de manifestantes ateou fogo na estátua de Borba Gato, gerando uma ampla discussão nas redes sociais e atingindo a imprensa e também o mundo acadêmico. O debate girou em torno de reflexões sobre a memória, a História e os símbolos do passado no presente. Ativistas e perfis de movimentos sociais defenderam a ação, alegando que Borba Gato, um bandeirante paulista cuja trajetória está ligada à colonização e, portanto, à violência perpetrada pela empresa colonial contra indígenas e negros, não merece o lugar de herói na história, tampouco que sua memória deve ser perpetuada através de um monumento em sua homenagem. Dentro da pesquisa “Redes educativas, fluxos culturais e trabalho docente – o caso do cinema, suas imagens e sons”, com financiamento do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e tecnológico (CNPq), da Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ) e da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), temos buscado compreender, através do uso de filmes, em cineclubes com professores em formação e em serviço, os ‘mundos culturais’ pelos quais esses praticantespensantes circulam, nas redes educativas que formam e nas quais se formam. A ideia é que esses processos de contatos múltiplos com imagens e sons trazem contribuições importantes aos currículos desenvolvidos nos cotidianos escolares. Neste artigo, detectamos e expomos os modos como adesões religiosas estão nesses ‘mundos culturais’ de formas variadas, muitas delas discriminadoras de alguns, e os modos como alguns desses praticantespensantes buscam contatos respeitosos com outros, nesses espaçostempos. Defendemos a importância dessas ‘conversas’, no ambiente escolar e no momento presente, na tentativa de superar ações discriminatórias diversas que vêm se tornando frequentes.Palavras-chave: Redes educativas, mundos culturais, imagens e sons
<p>A partir de questões iniciais comuns aos profissionais da educação pública no Brasil, procuramos neste artigo refletir sobre o lugar do Ensino de História na construção de uma Educação Popular e transformadora, atenta para o debate atual sobre o ensino das relações étnico-raciais, da África e da cultura afro-brasileira. Apontamos aqui para a necessidade de questionar um ensino com pressupostos eurocêntricos colonizadores, porém, compreendendo este questionamento como parte de um processo longo em que se cruzam as experiências e teorias sobre a pedagogia crítica, a Educação Popular e a questão racial. Desta forma, nos situamos enquanto profissionais que não apenas percebem nos debates acadêmicos os caminhos de amadurecimento destas questões, mas que vivenciam seus conflitos, contradições e urgências na realidade das redes de educação pública do Rio de Janeiro. É a partir daí, que se justifica uma primeira abordagem sobre os sentidos e objetivos de construção do currículo, especialmente em História. Este debate não pode deixar de abordar contemporaneamente as discussões sobre o papel estruturante do racismo em nossas relações sociais. No Brasil, tais discussões, acreditamos, converge para os objetivos históricos de construção de pedagogias críticas, populares e transformadoras.</p>
ResumoOs primeiros anos do século são marcados por uma intensa atividade associativa dos trabalhadores. Essas associações, que podiam ser as mais diversas, certamente contribuíram de alguma forma para que os trabalhadores se identificassem como parte de um mesmo mundo e se reconhecessem como trabalhadores. No entanto, até bem pouco tempo a historiografia tendeu a observar apenas as associações que previam a luta operária, como os sindicatos. Analisando o caso dos trabalhadores do porto do Rio de janeiro, este artigo tem por objetivo investigar outras formas de organização operária, mais especificamente, as de cunho recreativo, como as sociedades carnavalescas, os clubes dançantes, ranchos etc. Buscarei aqui demonstrar a diversidade associativa daqueles trabalhadores, chamando a atenção para o fato de que identidades múltiplas -percebidas na diversidade das organizações -não impediam uma identidade de classe. Ces associations, qui étaient les plus diverses, certainement ont contribué en quelque sorte pour que les travailleurs s'identifient en tant que partie d'un même monde et se reconnaissent en tant que travailleurs. Néanmoins, jusqu' à tout récemment, l'historiographie a eu tendance à n' observer que les associations qui prévoyaient la lutte ouvrière, comme les syndicats. En analysant le cas des travailleurs du port de Rio de Janeiro, cet article a pour but d' analyser d' autres formes d' organisation ouvrière, plus spécifiquement celles dirigées à des activités de loisir, comme les sociétés qui organisent le carnaval, les clubs dansant, etc. Je chercherai à montrer ici la diversité associative de ces travailleurs en attirant l' attention sur le fait que des multiples identités -aperçues dans la diversité des organisations-n' empêchaient pas une unité de classe.
